The Next Day

Austin was asleep in his hospital bed when Camila showed up. She smiled and placed a kiss on his lips. As if on cue, Austin woke up and kissed her back. When they separated he smiled.

"I could get used to that," Austin said with a smile.

Camila laughed, "And a good morning to you to," she started, "How are you feeling? I heard their gonna take your arm cast of today."

Austin nodded in confirmation.

"Yeah. It's gonna be great because then I can hold you in my arms," he flirted.

Camila blushed and hid behind her hair.

"Aw come on. You know I love it when you blush. Let me see your beautiful face," Austin said with a wink.

And that just made Camila blush more. She gently pushed his leg, but it was in a leg in the cast.

"Ow!"

Camila got up and started freaking out, "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I'm so clumsy! Are you ok?!"

"Camz. Camz! Calm down. I'm fine. It only hurt a little bit," he assured her.

Camila sighed in relief. Then a nurse walked in with a medical saw,"Ok Austin are you ready to get that arm cast off?"

As she finished Camila took the cast and threw it away. The nurse touched and poked his arm to make sure it was healed.

"Ok last one. Does this hurt?" The nurse asked as she poked Austin's arm.

Austin shook his head.

"Good. Well you're being discharged today. We told your parents and their on their way. And the doctor made an appointment for next month so that we can get this bad boy off," the nurse said pointing to Austin's leg cast.

He smiled, "Ok. Thank You."

"No problem. And one more thing. I'm required to tell you this. While you were in your coma we performed a surgery. You were heavily bleeding internally, so we had to patch it up," the nurse explained.

"Oh, well it's fixed right?" Austin asked.

The nurse nodded.

"Well that's fine than," he responded with a smile.

"Ok. Well I'm gonna get your discharge papers then you're free to go as soon as your parents show up," The Nurse said as she began to leave.

"Wait! Can I take him home instead?" Camila asked.

"Yes, but you'd have to inform his parents first," the nurse said as she left.

"That's it," Camila said as she called Austin's parents.

Austin's parents agreed and Camila was able to take Austin home. She helped him into his wheel chair. As she wheeled him out they waved to everyone.

"Bye everyone it was nice knowing you over these couple of months," Camila said.

Austin just sat back and waved. he gave the occasional nod.

As they exited Camila smiled thanking that they were finally out. When they got to her car she helped Austin out of his chair. He stood on his free leg while Camila helped balance him, but it didn't quite help. He couldn't really control his leg in the cast so when he turned the cast turned and knocked Camila over. She landed on the car next to her. Austin tried to turn around and instead fell. He placed his hand out in front of him landing on the car so as to not fall further. He was right above Camila. He smiled sheepishly.

Sorry," Austin said as he looked down at Camila with her back still up against the car.

"It's fine. Are you ok?" She asked.

"Yeah," he said placing his hand on Camila's cheek, "The real question are you ok?" He said worriedly.

Camila blushed and stood up right, causing Austin to stand up right. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Yeah. I'm ok," she said giving Austin a peck on the lips.

He smiled at the kiss and placed his hands on her hips.

"That's good. Do you think maybe we could do that again?" He asked leaning in for another kiss.

Camila teased Austin and turned her head, so his lips landed on her cheeks. He pouted, she smiled.

"Later. First we have to get you home," she said as she moved towards her car.

"But- fine," he playfully whined as he hobbled his way into her car.

As Camila drove they talked small talk, then they drove past the site of the accident. It got quiet. Then...

"Sing to me?" Austin asked.

"What?" Camila asked shockingly.

"Sing to me. Please. I remember hearing your voice, singing, in the hospital. It's beautiful and soothing," he said.

"I don't know," Camila said unsure.

"Come on. You did it in the hospital," Austin whined.

"That was different nobody conscious was around to hear me," she explained.

"Please," he begged.

"No."

Austin's face saddened. Camila saw and felt bad, "Maybe later. You of all people should know I have a lot of insecurities. My voice is one of the. In fact, before the hospital the only place I sung was in the shower."

Austin grabbed her hand and held it. He wished she didn't have all those insecurities. She was imperfectly perfect. Her flaws were what made her the girl of his dreams, but he didn't want to push her. So for now he'd abide to her wishes.

"Ok," he said as they pulled up in his driveway.
