It had been weeks since Austin showed signs of improvement. Camila and everyone else were beginning to lose hope. On one of Camila's visits she got tired and climbed onto the hospital bed next to Austin. She laid her head on his chest and held one of his hands.

Is this weird? Eh it doesn't matter, she thought to herself.

Camila yawned and slowly went to sleep. When she woke up about 2 hours later she saw Austin was still in a coma. For some reason she thought he'd have woken up. As she sat up and rubbed her eyes she saw the sheets above Austins legs move. She turned around quickly and saw Austin in the middle of mid stretch/yawn. He smiled when she turned around.

"Good morning beautiful," he said nonchalantly.

Camila looked at Austin in shock. She was on the verge of tears. She launched herself at Austin and smothered him with a hug. Austin laughed slightly and hugged Camila back.

"I missed you so much. I didn't think you were gonna wake up..." She managed to choke out in between tears.

Austin hugged her even tighter.

"I was always here," he replied.

"What do you mean?" She asked as she looked in his eyes.

"I was aware whenever you came. Whenever you talked, and whenever you sang. I could see you, hear you, feel you. I just couldn't wake up," Austin revealed.

"You mean you heard me whenever I said something," Camila asked as she blushed

"Yeah, and I love you, and now I know you do to. I also love your voice and I can't believe you've never sung to me before," he said.

Camila smiled and blushed madly.

"I better go tell the nurses you're better," she said as she started to get up.

Austin grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her back down, "They already know."

Camila looked at him in bewilderment, "How?"

"I woke up about an hour before you while they were taking my vitals," he explained.

Camila, playfully, punched his shoulder.

"Ow," he said mockingly with a laugh, "What was that for?"

"You woke up and didn't wake me!"

"Sorry. You looked so peaceful. I didn't want to wake you. Then I eventually fell back asleep beside you," Austin said with an innocent smile.

Camila crossed her arms. "I wanted to be there when you woke up," she said with a pout.

"You were here," he said as he took her hand.

"You know what I mean," she said.

"I do, but you're cute when you're annoyed," he teased.

Camila sucked her teeth and laughed. She leaned back into Austin's embrace.

"You're stupid," she said playfully.

"I know," he said with a goofy smile.

Camila laughed and sighed. As she lay down she turned and faced Austin. Austin faced her to. She smiled, "Can you go home yet?"

"No. They want to keep me a few more days and make sure nothings wrong," he answered.

Camila pouted, "Aw. I wanted my best friend back. And everyone misses you."

All Austin heard from that was best friend, "Best friend? Camila haven't we moved passed that?"

"Well yeah. But you've never properly asked me out and who says a boyfriend can't be my best friend too?" She said matter of factly.

Austin smiled, but then a nurse walked in, "Visiting hours are over. I'm gonna have to ask you to leave Ms.Cabello."

Camila pouted, "Ok I'll be out soon."

The nurse nodded and left the room. Camila pecked Austin's lips and smiled seductively. Then she got off the bed and waved.

"I'll come by tomorrow ok?" She said with a smile as she walked out the door.

"Ok. I love you," he said when she left. Camila popped her head back in. "I love you too," she said with a giddy smile before she ran back down the hallway.

Austin smiled wildly as he laid back down.

Life is good, he thought to himself as he drifted back to sleep.
