A few weeks later...

Today's a Saturday at wala akong magawa kundi magcellphone dahil natapos ko na yung assignments.

I was watching netflix on my laptop, then my phone suddenly vibrated.

Someone texted me.

Drey:
Hey, Sam! Can we meet later?

Sam:
Sure! Just tell me when.

Drey:
Playground, 5:30pm.

Sam:
Alright. See ya.

Drey:
See you too :)

I was about to go back on watching netflix, but my phone vibrated, again.

"Sam, ang kulang nalang para sa debut mo ay ang color, theme, and what kind of outfit will your guests wear. The foods are already done. But we'll still add some and it depends on what theme you want." sabi ni mom.

"Mom, I want a floral-bohemian theme. The guests will wear something bohemian that is floral. Could that do Mom?" sagot ko.

"Yes, anak. I'll just text the organizers." sagot niya.

"Thank you so much mom." sabi ko.

"Ma, ano yung mga 18 ceremonies ni Sam sa debut niya?" tanong ni kuya.

"18 Sunflowers and 18 Treasures palang ang nasa list." sabi ni Mom.

"Mom, how about 18 Candles po?"

"Oh yeah! I forgot."

After planning for my debut. I changed my clothes para maayos naman akong tignan. I'm just wearing a pink striped shirt na naka tuck-in sa maong shorts ko and my flipflops. That would be okay.

Tinignan ko ang sarili ko sa salamin at kinuha na ang cellphone at pouch ko.

"5:00, okay I gotta leave now." bulong ko sa sarili ko.

"Oh Sam? Saan ka pupunta?" tanong ni Kuya.

"I'll just stroll around kuya." sagot ko.

"Alright, wag magpa-gabi okay?"

"Got it kuya. Bye!"

Nasa playground na ako at walang tao dito. Bakit ganun eh hapon na naman ah? Hindi na gaano mainit, the sun is about to set in a few minutes.

I sat on the swing and checked the time.

Alright, he'll be here soon.

"Sandali na lang, maaari bang pagbigyan."

Drey? Why is he singing Torete?

"Aalis na nga, Maaari bang hawakan ang iyong mga kamay—"

"Drey, why—"

"Just let me do this." sagot ni Drey.

Pinatapos ko siya sa pagkanta niya, at umupo siya sa katabi kong swing at binigyan ako ng sunflower.

He knows I like sunflowers.

Nag-usap lang kami ni Drey ng kung ano-ano.

Malapit nang hindi makita yung araw nang tanungin ako ni Drey.

"Sam, you know how much I like you..."

Oh no. Here we go again?

"And?" sabi ko.

"I've been wanting to ask you this for so long."

Yeah, Drey. I know that you've been asking me that for a long time. I guess this is the time to clear things up.

Napag-isipan ko na rin to incase he asks me again.

"Drey, I appreciate all of your efforts. I want to say thank you, and..."
