Absolute~Luke Hemmings~

Chapter 23:

I spent the next few days with Ashton. We talked and we walked.

It started with Calum.

"I heard he got a job at Diary Queen, lets head over there." Ashton suggest getting into his car.

We took about a 15 minute drive into town, passing Lukes house on the way.

"I can't believe he did that, what an ass hole." Ashton said under his breath as he saw me sigh as we passed.

We parked to left of the ice cream shop, walking over the window. There was Calum, in his Dairy Queen uniform, along with a visor and apron and everything.

Ashton started to order, "Hi can I have a large vanilla chocolate swirl with rainbow sprinkles and-."

"Wait! Ashton? Vicky? What the hell are you doing here?" Calum asked seeming confused and kind of angry.

"We need to talk to you right now." Ash told him.

"I am the only one working right now. So, I can't." he replied.

"Well this is important shit so listen up."

I don't think Ashton noticed, but there was about 10 other people behind us.

"I know I've been a complete ass hole and a jealous son of bitch to Vicky. I ruined this whole thing. Your relationship with Luke, Michaels and Vics too. If you hadn't gone out to the diner with me that day, if I hadn't forced you to come-"

"Don't say that Ash." Calum intruppeted him. "It's okay, and I'm glad your owning up to your "ass holeness" haha. But what's the point of this"

"We need to fix everything." Ashton said.

Calum laughed out loud.

"Um, Ash? We are holding up the whole line." I said and I pointed to the angry line of people behind us. You can say there was over 20 of them.

"Oh shit." I heard Calum say under his breath.

"Are you kidding me Calum?" someone voice boomed coming from inside.

"What, who." Calum said startled.

"Who the fuck do you think it is? This isn't okay, do you see this?" a large man came in screaming.

"What." he replied still startled.

"The line you fucking dumb ass! I have been getting calls from people around town telling me how big the fucking line is and that it isnt moving? That's fucked up. I thought you could fucking manage a fucking ice cream shop." the large man ripped him apart.

"Boss, I'm sor-."

"Wait, who the hell are these kids at the window?" he asked Ashton and I.

"Oh I'm Ashton, and thats Vicky." he said giving the man a smile but he didn't give one back.

"Well Calum if you weren't talking to Ashton and Vicky this whole time, maybe you would still have a job here." the man told him smiling.

"Wait! What?" Calum said angryily.

"You heard me."

"You mean, I'm fired?"

"No shit. Now get your fucking ass out of here!" the man yelled at Calum as he ran off to the back.

Ashton and I ran to back too, as I heard the man scream that the shop was closed and will be back open tomorrow.

"Fuck you." Calum said to Ashton and I as he came through the back door.

"Come on I'll give you a ride back. " Ashton said to Cal putting his arm around him. "And you won't need this anymore." as he flipped off his Diary Queen visor.

"Thanks to you, now I don't have a job anymore. Shit, where am I going to find another job where someone actually wants to damn hire me?" he said fustrated as we got in the car.

"Try Burger King. They take anyone no matter what even if your like a pedophile." Ash said pulling out of the parking lot.

"They didn't even accept me when they had a sign up that said 'Help Wanted'..." Calum said quietly.

"And they hired you at Diary Queen? Haha oh Calum." Ashton said laughing.
