We woke early the next morning to go watch Ashton's brother's last game.
I honestly didn't have much to say to Ashton. He didn't have much to say to me either.
I could tell he wanted to you know last night.
"Do it."
We drove back over to the gym, I saw Calum and to my surprise, Luke, standing at the entrance.
"Good night last night?" Calum asked giving us each a smile.
None of us bothered to answer, all the sudden it just got awkwardly quiet.
"Well Ash, I want to show you something. I don't think you'll be interested Vic, so stay with Luke." Calum told us.
"Stay with Luke."
Holy fuck no.
I saw a look of worry in Ashton's eye.
"We will meet you guys inside? Alright?" Calum said grabbing Ashton and walking away.
Luke didn't even dare to give me a glance. He just stared down the ground like he was trying to look for something.
"Are you fucking serious?" I asked him finally.
He looked at me, like I was some alien creature of some sort.
"Are you just gonna keep being an ass hole or." I told him.
He still said nothing.
Lets just face it now, he wasn't ever going to talk to me ever again.
"What do you want from me?" he said firmly.
"I just want you to acknowledge me." I said quietly.
"Well, I just did. You happy?" he said. "God, why are you so needy?"
"Why are you acting like a such dick?" I shot back at him.
He went back to looking down again.
"It's been two fucking years Luke. We all know happened. Why can't you just be normal and we could be friends." I suggested.
"It doesn't work like that." he said looking up.
"Then what does? We all have moved on." I lied.
"I don't know." he said biting his lip. "All I know, I'm not ready to be um, frie-nds."
When it was time to go inside, I quickly rushed passed Luke.
To be honest, I didn't want to be friends with an ass hole.
I found Ashton and Calum sitting all the way on top of the bleachers.
I sat down next to Ashton, and he gave me a kiss.
Not to long after, Luke sat down right next to me.
"Hey." Luke said not giving me any eye contact.
"I thought you didn't want to be friend." I said turning my head.
"Well I can at least say hello?" he said.
"Okay." I murmured.
The whole game felt like forever, I relaxed in Ashton's arms. I saw Luke give us a couple glances, but that was it.
"Hey, Vic." Luke said running his fingers through his hair.
"Uh Yes." I stumbled saying as the game ended.
He hasn't called me Vic since the day we broke up.
"I was thinking, we could go get some lunch and I guess, catch up on a few things." he asked me giving me a half smile.
I had to admit I almost stopped breathing there. I thought he hated me. I thought he didn't want to be my friend. I thought he didn't want to see me ever again.
"Sure, I'd lov-I'd-like to." I said shaking.
"Alright, I know a good diner not far from here." he said walking towards his car.
"Hey Ash." I ran up to him. "I'm going to have lunch with, Luke."
"A date?" he said getting really red.
"No. It's just a catch up." I assured.
"Okay." he said turning back to Calum.
"I love you." I said kissing him.
"Alright." he replied.
.
Not I love you too.Just,
Alright.
