Chapter 5. Entrance exam

10 months later ~

Time passed like a soft breeze on a summers day and it was finally time to put everything y/n had learned to test.

Your POV ~

It was finally time. It was the day of the UA entrance exam... Izuku and I had trained for this day for so long... ten months - wow. It flew by so quickly... right, Izuku. Where even is he? An aggressive growl made me twirl on my heel.
"Get outa my way, nerd!"
Izuku was pushed aside by none other than Bakugou Katsuki, my current nemesis. He snarled as he stomped off. Then, Izuku collected himself after the out-of-the-blue violence and... tripped.

Damnit Izuku!

Before I could so much as take a single step forward, a girl with short brown hair stole my shine. Just before Izuku collided with the ground, eyes wide and hands firmly gripping the straps of his bright, yellow backpack, she simply tapped him and he hovered in the air. I stared nonchalantly at the two as Izuku was helped to his feet, and decided against approaching the rosy cheeked girl and freckled brother of mine as they seemed to converse rather politely with one another.

Seeking guidance to the hall in which I was supposed to be stated in within fifteen minutes, I came across a male with spiky red hair and sharpened teeth displaying a wide, toothy grin.
"Excuse me?" I politely interrupted his current conversation with a golden blonde male about his height and who seemed to have a black bolt streaking his hair. The two turned around to look at me upon my suspend of their little chat. One hummed questioningly. I rubbed my neck, slightly embarrassed - a trait I shared with Izuku. "I apologise but if you don't mind me asking... you don't happen to know where the main assembly hall is, do you? If it isn't too much to ask, could you please direct me? I'm not all too good with directions and I have absolutely no clue as to where it's stated a-and-"
"Sure!" It was the red shark toothed boy who had replied and another ear to ear grin was painted across his face. He then proceeded to drape his arm around his blonde friend's shoulder and turned to look at him. "Right, Kaminari?"
Said male stared at me and with a nervous smile, managing to stutter a 'yeah' and 'okay'.

They continued to talk for a while whilst I stood there silently awaiting there leave so I could follow. When the shark toothed boy pulled his phone from his pocket and stated we only had five minutes to get to the assembly hall, all three of us panicked. Well - mainly them, but still. I panicked-ish internally. I mean, they completely freaked out but still...

Practically sprinting through the various corridors, who I assumed was Kaminari froze. He then proceeded to wave his arms about in the direction of a humongous, red door.
"Woah..." Sharky boy breathed.
"What the hell? You can fit an elephant through that thing!" I exclaimed.
"More like ten!" Kaminari commented.
"Yeah." The red haired male agreed. Stepping forward to the grand entrance, I pushed the door, opening the gateway to heaven and hell at the same time. Entering the room, the two males gasped in sync whilst I simply made my way to an open seat. There was only one seat available beside me but another was stated in front so it would be fine for the three of us. Noticing my vacancy, the boys followed to where I was seated after a blind search.

Those idiots...

I chuckled to myself as the red head sat beside me and the blonde sat in front. The toothy boy to my right then shot me a shit eating grin and I couldn't help but giggle.
"You saved us seats!" He whisper-shouted.
I chuckled. "Of course."
At that Kaminari whipped his head around, giving us both a cheesy yet nervous smile. Sensing his uneasiness, I placed a hand on his shoulder, my eyes softened.
"Hey, you ok?"
A faint pink dusted his cheeks as though he'd never had any means of physical contact with a female in his entire life.
"Y-yeah!"
"Are you sure?" I rubbed small, soothing circles into his sholder and he visibly became less tense.
"Yeah... I'm just a little nervous with the exam and all..."
His eyes closed and he relaxed into the gentle touch. I smiled; that always worked whenever Izuku was stressed.
"Hey... there's nothing to worry about." I began in a soft tone. "You're gonna do great. Just give it your all and you'll be sure to do amazing. I promise."
He smiled. It was a pure, genuine smile that I couldn't help but return. Spiky red hair came into view and I removed my hand from the golden blonde, relaxing back into the comfort of the warm, cushioned seat.
Kaminari repositioned himself so he was facing forwards, now more casual about the situation. The sharp toothed male turned to me from his placement to my right.
"I didn't know you could do that." He whispered.
"Do what?" I asked.
"They way you just... you know." He gestured to Kaminari but I still didn't get the memo. "The way you managed to just calm him down like that. You looked so... I don't know... reasurring? Soft?"
I chuckled. "Oh, that... it always works with my brother so I just figured it would work."
I shrugged my shoulders, sending him a small smile afterwards. He was about to reply when a loud booming pained my ears.
