The next battle had begun before anyone could catch a breath. Everyone watched with bated breath, seemingly the entire fight. They watched as Izuku and Uraraka slid carefully into the building through a window, and immediately went to work navigating the halls.
"You think he'll be okay?" Rakurai's hands shook, still recovering from his battle with his friend.
"Midoriya seems like a smart boy," Etsuko crossed her arms, waiting to see just what this boy had in store, clenching her jaw, thrilled at the opportunity to see just exactly what this hero they worked so hard to save had to show for that day.
"I'm sure he's taken extra care studying procedures like these... I'm so sure, I'm gonna bet on his win!" Etsuko squeaked at Rakurai.
"What?" His eyebrows shot up, getting fired up.
"What are we betting on?"
"Hmm..." Etsuko thought for a moment; there really is so much a victory can buy...
"Ha! If I win this bet, you have to pay for my lunch tomorrow." Etsuko spared Rakurai too much of a challenge. He noticed Etsuko had developed this new humility after her win against him, which made Rakurai very happy.
"Okay. If I win, you have to pay for all of my lunches for the rest of the week!" A satisfied grunt grunt escaping him as he crossed his arms, upping the stakes.
"Don't seem too confident; I'm on a roll today!" She giggled.
"You only won once today." He nudged her, grinning. Etsuko only giggled quietly,
"I can just feel it, okay?"
"You guys are so silly!" Etsuko searched for the person the voice belonged to, but it was especially hard to notice the invisible girl in the dim room, Etsuko realized, after gloves waved in her face.
"Oh!"
"Hey, I'm Toru!"
"Hey there!" Rakurai jumped at the opportunity to make friends but the class suddenly gasping pulled their attention.
"He almost got the jump on him!" Etsuko observed. Bakugou had appeared just beyond a corner of the hall, and hurled a punch toward Midoriya.
"Sneak attack? What kinda hero pulls cheap crap like that?!" Kirishima whined.
"Its a similar strategy to what team L used in the previous battle. Perhaps young Bakugou took that and applied it to his plan." All Might explained to his pupils.
"It didn't work!" To everyone's surprise, Midoriya had caught Bakugo's enormous arm, shifting his feet to work bakugou into the air, and slammed him into the floor.
"Wow, look at those moves!" Fuji bounced.
Everyone watched the three on the monitor, Midoriya and Bakugo seeming to exchange a few heavy words between each other. Bakugo began to get up, recovering from his fall.Bakugo blasts his way toward defenseless Izuku, flashes appearing on the screen. Everyone watched Uraraka run away, and Bakugou kicks at Midoriya. Izuku effortlessly blocks the attack, and gasps erupt from the room as he attempts to use the capture tape against Bakugo, nearly wrapping his ankle up like a bandage.
"He's using the capture tape!" Mina pointed toward the screen.
"Hey, looks like he picked up a few tricks from the last battle, too!"
'Seems like Uraraka was sent to find the weapon while Midoriya keeps Bakugo preoccupied.' Etsuko noticed.
She watched as Bakugo attempted another attack against Midoriya, the messy haired boy dodging the attack altogether by ducking out from under Bakugo, and running out of the line of fire.
"Little dude is good!" A tall boy said.
"He's holding his own against Bakugo and he hasn't even used his quirk yet." A boy with altered elbows said.
"Its looking like I'll be eating for free tomorrow." Etsuko teased.
"Hey, don't be so sure. Bakugo's really been pushing on to beat Midoriya."
"Yeah, but it seems Midoriya is the only thing he's concerned with, you see? He hasn't even noticed that Uraraka escaped."
Bakugo chased after Midoriya all the while Uraraka snuck about.
"Bakugo's targeting may just be what fails him." Etsuko pointed out. Students look into this point, and agree, never taking their eyes away from the screen.
Bakugou begins to crumble, beginning to get frustrated as the turns and walls block him from getting anywhere he wants to go, and students watch as he shouts.
"This Bakugo guy seems to have some real issues..." a yellow haired boy commented.
They all continued to observe as Bakugou now took to looking into dark rooms, as if the halls weren't hard enough to see through.
"See, just as I said." Etsuko began, "Bakugou has completely forgotten about the other member of the hero team."
"Oh, you're right!" Fuji and Toru say, Tsuyu joining the small group.
"This really isn't looking too hot for the villain team, huh, Rakurai. If they wanted to send someone to stop them, it should've been Iida. He's way faster." Etsuko teased, while also making a valid point.
"Which also means: Bakugo has been going rogue. The two of them aren't working together as a team. But, I guess it's better for the hero team; if they were to take the two of them on head-to-head, their chances of winning would've been slim. The villain team has some pretty strong quirks."
"Eh--" Rakurai faltered, searching for a taunt. "You're too good at this..." he sighed, other classmates listening in fascination; Etsuko catching glimpses of the split boy's calculating gaze.
