Chapter 20

Vegeta's P.O.V

Genesis dragging me inside, everyone looks at us with amusement.

"Where are we going?"

"To get our bathing suits."

A question comes to mind. What the heck is a bathing suit?

"What's a bathing suit?"

She immediately stopped and turned to look at me. A little grin on her face.

"It's another Earth thing. It's what we wear to swim."

"Seriously?"

She nods.

"Seriously. I'll see if you can barrow one of Yamcha's."

"All right."

She quickly dashed off, and I am left standing there. After a couple of minutes, she comes back with a pair of some sort of dark blue shorts. She hands them to me.

"Here ya go, Vegeta."

"Thanks."

"Of course."

Then she grabs my hand again and drags me to our rooms. She lets go and turns around to face me.

"I'll change into my bathing suit while you do the same. Then we can go swimming!" She exclaimed excitedly. I chuckle at her childlike enthusiasm. She goes in her room and I go into mine. Going to my bed, I take off my clothes and set them on my bed, aside from my boots. Those I sat on the ground. I slip on the swimming trunks and tie the strings. The sound of a knock caused me look over at the doors.

"Vegeta, are you dressed?"

"Yes."

"Okay. I brought you some flip flops to wear."

What the heck are flip flops?

"Thanks."

"No problem."

Then the doors slide open to reveal Genesis wearing a big black T - shirt that goes to her knees. She's not wearing any shoes. She hands me the weird shoes to me. I look at them funny. She just giggles at that. I slip them on and stand up. I stride over to her.

"Lets go."

I suddenly notice that her cheeks are crimson. We walk out of my room and everyone looks at us with surprise. Bulma gives us a questioning look.

"What are you guys up to?"

I look at her like she's an idiot. I roll my eyes at the stupid question.

"Isn't it obvious? We're going swimming." I tell her real slowly. She glares at me.

"Don't talk to me like I'm some idiot."

I smirk. "Then don't act like one."

Her eyes flash angrily. My smirk gets slightly bigger. Genesis decides to interrupt before it's an all out screaming match between me and Bulma. 

"Why don't we just have a pool party?"

Bulma's face lights up at that. She grins at Genesis.

"That's a great idea! All right everyone, go get your bathing suits and be ready to party!"

While everyone was talking, I just look at them like they're all idiots.

"I'm sorry,Vegeta ."

I look over at Genesis with surprise. I raise my eyebrow questioningly.

"Why are you apologizing, Genesis?"

She sighs and gives me an apologetic smile.

"Because I just ruined our plans."

I scoff at that. She honestly believed that? She looks at me with shock.

"You actually believe that? You didn't ruin our plans. You just multiplied the amount of invitations. So sure, they all will be there, and I'll be annoyed by them. But I'll enjoy it. Only one reason why I will enjoy it, though. That reason being you. So don't worry. It'll be fine."

Shock clearly on her face, she turns crimson. She then smiles appreciatively.

"Thanks, Vegeta."

"No problem, Genesis."

Most of that was a lie. I'll probably hate the party. But Genesis will probably make it enjoyable. Hopefully. Otherwise someone just might get shot by a ki. Sighing to myself, I begin to wonder what I got myself into.
