I heard Chrystal's scream and I laughed at knowing that I caused her pain. I looked to find her on the ground, covered in burns, her hands up in some kind of pathetic attempt to defend herself. Her face showed the pain that she was feeling and I laughed again, holding my stomach as it began to hurt a little from the extreme laughing. She looked so weak, so worthless, so, not Chrystal. It was perfect.
Even as I was grasping my powers my memories were coming back, and with a sudden jolt I remembered everything from waking up and meeting Nicandro. I remembered how he was so awkward at first, how people hated him, how he showed me around, helped me, introduced my to Chrystal, who was so kind and sweet. I remembered spending my time with him. Then I was kidnapped. I never saw their face, but they drugged me, spoke to another person, and then I had black out. And woken up.
"I remember," I said softly. I walked over to look at Chrystal, who looked up at me in pain. "I remember seeing him when I first woke up. He helped me, showed me around, made me feel happy. He treated me so kindly, and I remember first seeing his amber eyes. I was practically drawn to them," I laughed, my eyes watering. "I remember meeting you, for the first time. I was so much happier then. Because I had him. I had Nicandro. And you took him away from me. For good."
I stepped back to give her room. "Stand up. Fight me."
"Annora..." she coughed and spat blood on the ground. "Look around..."
Taking a second I looked at the destroyed buildings, all around me, the ground all around us covered by debris, stones, building that had met their ends. Dust clouded the air, and through it I could barely see buildings, further away, that were intact.
"Look at the destruction you've created."
"I don't care!" I screamed and felt my body full of energy and I heard a faint crackle. "He made me happy! Even when we were split apart, I was looking for him! Only him! Because he was the only thing in the world that mattered to me so much that I would remember him forever!"
The tears fell freely, and I dimly aware of the crackling energy lifting me off my feet, looking down at Chrystal.
"Annora! Stop this madness!" Chrystal screamed up to me. "You're not you!"
I laughed again. "I'm more me then ever."

I had not been hurt when the bright burning colour rushed at me. Not by the burning, anyway. I had taken cover behind a low wall. When I had looked up the whole area was a mess, completely destroyed. I had cuts and bruises all over my body from the flying debris.
Seeing Annora again, just to see her, made my heart flutter. Then I saw the crazed look in her face, I heard the manic laugh, I saw using the crackling colour to lift off the ground, as she screamed. And when she spoke her words were full of such emotion. She might've been trying to sound strong, but her voice truly betrayed the hurt she felt. Her voice showed her anger, sadness, and love.
I knew she loved him, but hearing it tore into my heart.

I smelt blood. I smelt the elf's blood, which didn't bother me much, and I smelt Arlen's blood. For a moment I panicked, worrying the worst since I could smell so much blood. I quickly found him and rushed over through the dust. I stumbled over chunks of cement and reached him. Arlen sat up coughing and I realised he was fine.
I looked at Annora, my friend, as she unleashed her powers, not attacking. She was so caught up in her emotions she didn't notice the destruction she was still creating. The lightning stretch out in random places, hitting the ground, cracking the cement.
Her body quivering as she cried. I saw her almost double over when she sobbed.

I hated him. I hated him so much. The douchebag, who couldn't even keep him alive. The guy that had tried to take me to prison. I had put my hand over his heart and focused, and I felt the a life source flow though me, causing me a sharp stomach pain before his body had jolted and I took my hands away. It had taken a couple of minutes, but his heart was beating again.
His breathing evened out, became calm, as if he was in a sleep, and then his eyes fluttered open, revealing his rare amber eyes.
He tried to sit up but fell over in the process. I smirked and crossed my arms. His eyes wondered, frantic, overwhelmed, and alive. He looked at me, tried to role over but with his sloppy new movements he fell over next to me. He groaned and curled up in a ball. He slowly got up again, obviously in pain from coming back from being dead.
"Grayem," he groaned out, angry.
"You were dead," I told him. "I brought you back, your welcome, and now you have to save the world again, or else your psycho girlfriend might go on a killer rampage. You're the only one who can actually fight her."
I looked at the ground, trying to ignore my feelings. Bringing my eyes back up to his to meet them I saw him glaring, almost falling over in pain, and naked.
"You might want to put some clothes on though."
"I hate you," he groaned out, barely recognisable.
"I hate you too. But I love her more," I told him honestly.
"Who?"
"Annora. Save the world from Annora, Nicandro."
