Chapter 26:
Andy's Point of View:
"Come on Andy, get up or you'll be late. Ashley's already waiting for you downstairs."
I groaned in response and just waved her away. Mom sighed.
"You want me to send him up here to get you out of bed, or are you getting up?" she asked.
I groaned again. "Don't send Ashley up here."
"Then get up; you've got ten minutes before you have to leave. I expect you downstairs in five."
I heard her walk away, the door closing behind her. I sighed and sat up, sitting on the edge of my bed as I tried to wake up. I looked over at the clock, seeing it was almost eight. I quickly got up and grabbed a clean shirt and a pair of jeans, getting changed and grabbing a few things I was gonna need for school.
The weekend had passed too quickly, and now here I was on a Monday morning, rushing around like Andy Biersack always did because he was too lazy to get up earlier. I hated rushing around sometimes, as it messed with my head and made me think I'd forgotten a few things, even when I knew I hadn't.
"Andy, c'mon!" I heard Ashley call from downstairs. "Get down here! We've gotta go!"
"Alright, gimme a sec and I'll be there!" I shouted back, grabbing my lighter and cigarettes, putting them into my pocket as I rushed out of my room and down the stairs, trying to put my shoes on in the process.
Ashley was watching me from his position near the end of the stairs, shaking his head disapprovingly as I finally managed to make it to the end. He'd made sure he was here today, as he knew I wouldn't be ready on time, and here I was, proving him right.
"Sorry," I said as he headed to the door.
"I'm waking you up tomorrow," he said as I followed him outside, closing the door after myself. "You always do this man. Your mom isn't even reliable enough to getcha up on time."
"Sorry," I said again, really feeling like I'd forgotten something.
Ashley just shook his head.
"Whatever man," he said. "Just pick up the pace a bit. We'll luckily make it before class, so we'll have a bit of time to hang with the others before we have to go do some learnin'."
I gave a nod, keeping up with his pace the whole way. There were quite a few people around at the gates as Ashley pushed his way through, me behind. I lit a cigarette as we headed over to where everyone else was, just standing around and talking.
"Hey guys!" Ashley greeted cheerfully as I put my lighter away and came to a halt next to him.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" Jinxx asked in confusion as he looked at me, the others doing the same.
"My aunt sent me home last Wednesday," I said, taking a drag on the cigarette and just looking at him.
He just returned the look and I shrugged. Ashley looked to Jinxx cheerfully.
"Yay! Andy's back!" he exclaimed.
Jinxx looked to him for a few seconds before looking to me with a smile.
"Well it's good to see you here man," he said, making me smile back as he pulled me into a hug, making me hug him back.
He let me go and I saw Mike looking at me. I returned the look, knowing what he was after.
"Please?" Mike said. "You're like, my only source."
I gave a nod and handed him the packet and my lighter, getting a smile in return. He lit his cigarette and handed everything back, watching me as I put them back in my pocket.
