Chapter 25:

"Andy?"

I opened my eyes and looked over at who'd spoken. Juliet looked back at me as I looked at her tiredly. She was crouched down next to the bed, clearly having been awake for a bit.

"What time is it?" I asked, just feeling real tired, as I hadn't really gotten to sleep until nearly one.

"Sorry Andy; I didn't mean to wake you," Juliet said apologetically. "It's about seven. It's Friday, so I've gotta head to school in about an hour."

I gave a nod and rubbed my eyes tiredly as I sat up. Juliet waited until I was a bit more awake before she spoke again.

"I was just wondering if you maybe have a shirt I can borrow?" she asked almost awkwardly. "Since I stayed over, I don't have a clean shirt to change into..."

"Oh, right," I said, still trying to wake up a bit more. I looked at her. "Yeah sure; just grab whatever. I'll get it back from you later."

She gave me a smile.

"Thanks Andy," she said as she stood up properly. "You're the best."

She gave me a kiss before I just laid down again, planning on getting some more sleep. I didn't have to be up this early until Monday, so I was planning on making the most of sleeping in.

Matt's Point of View:

"Juliet!" I called as she passed.

She stopped and looked at me. I indicated for her to come over and she did as asked. She came to a halt in front of me, looking at me curiously.

"Something on your mind Matt?" she asked, looking me up and down as I did the same to her.

I smiled in slight amusement as she looked back to my face.

"What's with the shirt this morning?" I asked, not able to keep a straight face.

She looked at me for a few seconds before she realised.

"Oh, right," she said with a bit of a laugh. "Yeah, I know, not really my thing."

"Yeah, didn't really think Batman was your kinda thing," I said as I crossed my arms. "So what's with the shirt? I think I know where I've seen it, or who I've seen it on for that matter. I know there's only one person you and I both know who has quite a few different Batman shirts, and that's one of 'em. Care to tell?"

Juliet looked at me for a few seconds before she sighed.

"I didn't have a spare shirt, so I had to borrow one of Andy's this morning," she admitted, making me frown.

"You're gonna have to elaborate on that," I said. "I'm lost."

She looked around before she looked back to me and spoke.

"You can't tell the others," she said, keeping her voice down a bit. "Ashley and I are the only ones who know."

"Know what?" I asked, looking at her curiously. "This the thing Ashley was saying we had to wait 'til next week to find out?"

"It might be," Juliet said, biting her lip as she spoke. "Don't tell?"

"Is Andy back home?" I asked, as that was the only thing I could think of.

Juliet gave a bit of a nod and I looked at her in surprise.

"Don't tell," she said. "I've gotta head off, so we'll have to talk later, ok?"
