Chapter 28:
Andy's Point of View:
"You wanna tell me what's going on Andy?"
I frowned. "With what?"
I heard Juliet sigh from the other end of the line.
"Dad just told me he got a call from your father, saying I wasn't allowed to see you anymore."
"What?" I practically exclaimed, mom looking over to make sure I was ok. "What the fuck? When did this happen?"
"I don't know, but dad's being real persistent that I don't see you anymore," Juliet said, sounding upset and distressed.
"Alright, look, I'll try talking to dad when he gets home and see why he did that, ok?" I said, knowing I didn't have much chance of him listening to me, but trying to make Juliet feel a bit better. "I'll have to call you later, ok?"
"Ok Andy. I'm sorry about all this."
"It's fine sweetheart; we'll talk later. Love you."
"Love you too Andy."
She hung up and I put my phone down in annoyance. Mom looked to me.
"Everything ok with you and Juliet?" she asked, a slight bit of concern in her tone.
"No," I said. "Dad apparently called her father and said she wasn't allowed to see me anymore and vice versa."
Mom frowned, clearly not knowing about this. I sighed and she saw how upset I actually was.
"Honey, I didn't know anything about this," she said.
"I know, I know," I said, feeling rather irritated right now. "I'm gonna try talkin' to him when he gets home."
"Good luck," I heard her say to herself.
After about half an hour, I heard the front door and I was straight out of the kitchen. Dad looked back at me as he shut the door, clearly seeing I was pissed off with him.
"You wanna tell me why you called Juliet's dad and told him she can't see me anymore?" I snapped.
"It's for your own good Andy," dad snapped back as he went past me and into the kitchen.
"Bullshit," I said as he put his things down on the table. "Didn't you listen to anything I said on Thursday?"
Dad ignored me and continued on with what he was doing.
"Don't ignore me," I snapped grabbing his arm and making him look at me in annoyance. "I'm seventeen for fucks sake dad. Stop treating me like I'm not."
"While you're in this household, you're under my orders and you do as I say," dad snapped back. "Don't speak back to me like that either Andrew. You're not an adult yet, so you still listen to what I say."
"Then just listen to me for once and maybe we wouldn't have these fucking problems," I shot back. "You just hate it 'cause I'm old enough to have a girlfriend and I'm not your little kid anymore. You just hate it that I've grown up and can think for myself."
"You're only seventeen, and I know how seventeen year old boys think; I was one once," dad snapped as I still didn't back down. "Your mind is only on one thing and that's when mistakes happen that you have to live with for the rest of your life until they move out! You even have them arguing back and having this conversation."
"So that's how you see me is it?" I asked with irritation. "A normal, fucked up seventeen year old boy whose mind is only on one thing. A normal, fucked up seventeen year old boy who still isn't old enough to make his own decisions in life because he'll just end up as fucked up and as miserable as his father. That right dad? That how you see me?"
