Jacob's POV

I was in the office working on paperwork when I heard a bunch of giggles coming from my room. I stood up and walked around my desk and walked out of the office, then to my room. I opened the door to see Alex their laughing with Rosemary my maid.

I guess she doesn't have a headache then. Alex soon noticed me and started laughing even more. A small smile snuck its way onto my lips. Alex ran over to me and hugged me.

"Oh look. It's my prince charming." She said dancing around me laughing. I looked at her with amusement. How much did this girl take. Rosemary as well was watching her in amusement.

Alex didn't care that we were watching her. She was just dancing around my room. She then came over to me and smile up at me. I just now realized how small she is. I am 6'4 and she is probably 5'2ish. She had the biggest smile on her face.

"Prince charming will you dance with me?" She asked. I rolled my eyes.

"Alex I don't dance. You need to lay down and rest." I said sternly. A frown made its way onto her lips. I instantly regretted the tone I used. She then stuck out her bottom lip pouting.

"Jacob will you please dance with me?" She asked pouting. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. She crossed her arms and turned away from me. Her doing this made my eyes spark with amusement.

She huffed and walked back over to the bed. She sat down and turned so her body is facing away from me. I rolled my eyes and walked over to her.

"Stop pouting and get rest." She turned to me and glared. If I wasn't used to getting glared at I would probably be intimidated but I deal with people glaring at me everyday.

I glared right back at her. Surprisingly she did not drop her gaze. It only intensified.

"Get rest now." I said in a low cold tone. Her eyes narrowed even more.

"You can't tell me what to do." She said also in a cold tone. Dang this girl doesn't back down even when she is high. How stubborn is this girl. I glared even more.

"Go to sleep now. I am going to leave this room and come back. If you are not asleep when I come back then you will be put in the cells." I said coldly. This made her back down. She looked down and nodded slowly. I hate to hurt her but she needed to rest. I couldn't let her stay awake.

I walked out of the room and walked down the long hallway to the stairs. I made my way down but I got stopped by my mother. She was glaring at me. Why is everyone glaring at me today.

"Can I help you?"  I asked. She rolled her eyes.

"You carried a girl in here and you didn't tell me. Is she your girlfriend? Is she nice? Is she beautiful?" My mom said bombarding me with questions. Before she said anymore I put my hand over her mouth.

"Mom I love you but stop talking." I said rolling my eyes. She scoffed. I pulled my hand back and she glared.

"You never bring girls to your room. You always bring them to guest room." She said. I looked up at the top of the stairs at where I came from.

"Is she special to you?" My mother asked. I turned back towards her and nodded slowly.

"She gave me a sad look. Hun what about Kat. " She said. Kat. She has bright red hair and these sparkling blue eyes. We have been friends since we were 7 . She is one of my best friends and I trust her a lot. I don't know how someone couldn't fall for her. I just didn't. I have known she has liked me. It is obvious. I had to ignore it though. She is one of the gangs best fighters. I wonder if she would beat Alex.

I rolled my eyes. "I don't love her mom. She is my friend and thats final." She scoffed.

"It's obvious she is in love with you. I thought you liked her back." I scoffed. "Maybe when I was 15. Not anymore." She rolled her eyes and turned around.

"Well Kat was asking for you. She is in your office on the second floor." My mother said then left.

I continued to walk down the stairs until I got to the second floor. I walked down the long hallway and to the office. Without knocking I walked in. Kat stood there in white shorts, a light pink tank top, and a black leather jacket.

I raised an eyebrow at her. A small smile laid on my lips. She gave me a huge smile.

"Wanna go get ice cream with me and Haven?" She asked.

I was about to say yes then my mind trailed to the beautiful girl sleeping, well hopefully sleeping, on my bed. I wanted to go hangout with my friends but I couldn't. I couldn't do that to Alex. Make her stay in a place where she knows no one. She will most likely wake up with a horrible headache and will have no one to be there for her.

"I wish I could come but I can't." Her smile instantly fell.

"Why?" She asked. I had to think of how to word my situation. I couldn't just say the girl i'm in love with is asleep in my bed as we speak right now. That would hurt her so much.

"I have some work to catch up on." I replied. She rolled her eyes.

"Okay whatever. You're missing out. Bye." She said walking out of the office. I could tell she knew I was lying. She always knows when i'm lying. Her and I are close, but i'm closer to Haven. Him and I have been friends since we were 4. Yes he can be stupid sometimes but he is like my brother. He has helped me through a lot. I don't know where I would be without him.

I walked out of the office and to the stairs once again. I made my way up to the top floor where my room is.

When I got to the room, I opened the door quietly. I peaked my head in to see Alex passed out on my bed. She had one of my pillows under her arm like she was cuddling it and the other was above her head.

She honestly looked adorable. I could hear her softly snoring. She looked so peaceful once again. Hopefully when she wakes up she can tell me who the h**l did this to her so I can hurt them. She doesn't deserve to be treated like this. She is an amazing girl. I sat down on the chair beside the bed and looked out my window.

I really hope I didn't make a mistake bringing her into my life. I am not good. I am not good for her. She is so innocent. She doesn't deserve this kind of lifestyle.
