Alex's POV

After the rest of them got back Jacob, Haven, Kenny, and Benny left leaving me with Cami. We sat in silence for a little while before she stood up and sat on the bed with me. She grabbed my hand and held it tightly.

"You scared the crap out of all of us little one." Cami said. I nodded and looked down. Just thinking about the accident gives me chills. Thinking about my car and how much it will cost to get a new one. Or the fact that I don't have a leg anymore. How am I supposed to be a spy anymore. Uncle Matt is going to be so disappointed in me.

I didn't even realize I was crying until Cami was wiping tears off of my face. She smiled down to me and hugged me.

"What's wrong little one?" She asked me.

"Uncle Matt is going to be so mad at me. I wont be able to spy anymore and he is going to be so mad. I don't know what to do." I said breaking down. Cami instantly pulled me to her. Soothingly she rubbed shapes on my shoulder with her thumb.

"He wont be mad at you Alex. You didn't chose for this to happen. It's not like you chose for that van to hit you." But that is where she is wrong. I could have looked more carefully and saw the van. I could have avoided losing a leg.

"Cami can you get a nurse?" I asked looking at her. Her face twisted with confusion.

"Are you okay? Does something hurt?" She asked. I shook my head, heat rushing to my cheeks.

"No I have to pee." I said honestly. Relief washed over her face before she nodded. She stood up and walked out of the room. I sighed and waited for a nurse to come back.

A beautiful girl walked in smiling at me. Looking at her made me envy her. She was so beautiful. Her blonde hair was tied up in two dutch braids. She had the perfect frame and her face was flawless. Her smile showed all perfect white teeth. I envied her looks. Looking at her name tag I found out her name was Emily.

She walked past me and pulled out a wheelchair from a closet. She pushed the wheelchair over to the bed and smiled at me. The positioned the wheelchair just right so it would be easier to get on.

"Okay so I will need you to sit I the edge of your bed so I can get you on here easier." She said with a 100% fake smile. Her voice was even perfect. Doing as she said I sat at the edge of my bed and sat up straight. It felt weird to not have one of my legs. It makes me feel awkward.

The nurse lifted me up just enough so I can slide onto my wheelchair. After I was on comfortably she pushed me over to a small door. She pulled it open and then pushed us it. The most embarrassing part of this all is that I need her help to get on and off the toilet. Since I was in a hospital gown no male nurse could help me due to the fact the back of the gown was open. It could only be a female.

When we were near the toilet she lifted me up and sat me on it. Politely she walked out of the room and shut the door. The moment the door closed I could hear someone talking. I couldn't quiet recognize the voices though.

Across from the toilet was a huge body length mirror. Looking at myself made me cringe. Multiple cuts and bruises where on my face and neck. You could barely even recognize me anymore. My once wavy hair was very frizzy and greasy.

Next to the toilet was a bell, so after I finished I quickly rang it. Almost instantly the talking stopped. Feeling bad for stopping a conversation I looked down. Emily walked back in and closed the door behind her. Without a word she lifted me off of the toilet and onto the wheelchair. She pushed me over to the sink so I could wash my hands which I am grateful for.

After washing my hands she pushed open the door and pushed us out. Looking around my room I noticed all of my friends are back, including Jacob and Haven. Once the door opened the room went silent. I made sure to keep my head down, trying to hide my face from them. Being next to Emily makes me look like a troll.

"Okay boys I need you guys to either turn around or step out of the room when I lift her up here. The back of her gown is completely open so I don't want you to see anything." Emily stated. Haven and Jacob nodded then left the room. I could see them walking down the hall until they took a turn.

Emily and Cami both lifted me up onto the bed. Once I had the covers over me I turned on my side so I wasn't facing them.

"I will go tell the boys they can come back in here." Emily said before leaving. I closed my eyes in hope that everyone would just leave me alone. I feel so different then normal. I feel way less confident in myself as well.

"Alex are you okay?" Kenna asked. I didn't reply and just kept my eyes closed. I just want to be alone, yet I don't at the same time.

"Kenna I think she fell asleep." Cami said. I heard a sigh. After a few moment Jacob, Benny, and Haven came back in here. The thing is that the way I was laying I was facing the door. They could obviously see my face and if they were smart they'd know I was still awake.

"She's asleep." Haven said but it sounded more like a question.

"Yeah as soon as the nurse brought her back in here she laid like that and closed her eyes. She must have been tired." Cami explained. I could feel all their gazes on me. Suddenly a wave of tiredness hit me. Slowly I fell into the darkness that was calling me.
