The Spy

Chapter 38

Alex's POV

      I got Olive to the gang house yesterday. Being respectful and gave them sometime to catch up I left to go home. Kenna and Benny were beyond happy to have me back home. Piper came over as well. It was nice. 

    I was sitting looking out the window in my room when Kenna came running, with a paper in her hand, and had a huge smile planted on her lips. I raised an eyebrow at her as she came closer.

    "Alex we got accepted!" She screamed jumping up and down. I looked at her confused. She handed me the paper. Once I saw what it was tears instantly started going down my cheeks.

 CSTF is what it is called. It is also known as Certified Spy Training Facility.  It is a school and training place for spies. It is located in France. It is one of the biggest schools for spies in the world. Only a handful of spies get accepted. Kenna and I applied about 2 years ago. Benny planned on leaving the organization after this year so he decided not to apply. 

   "Kenna we did it." I cried hugging her. This has been a dream of mine and hers since we were just little. Uncle Matt talked about it for hours and how he hopes we get in. He always had faith in us. 

    "When do we leave?" I asked her. She grabbed the paper from me and looked around. She looked for a few seconds before looking up at me.

    "We leave August 7th." She said. Currently it is July 30th so a week. I have a week before I get to go to my dream place. Wait! I need to tell Jacob. 

    Once Kenna left my room I picked up my phone and went to Jacob's contact. I instantly pressed the call button a smile on my face. It rang about five times before everything went silent.

    "Hello?" His voice rang through the phone.

    "Hey is it okay if I come over. I have some great news." I said excitingly. I heard him chuckle.

   "Sure. Do you need to be picked up. I can have Haven come get you." He said. I blushed not even thinking about how I was going to get there. 

    "That would be wonderful." I said with a small laugh. He chuckled again.

    "Okay I will see you soon." He said before hanging up. I sighed with a smile and sat my phone in my lap. I rolled out of my room and waited impatiently outside. As soon as Haven's car pulled up I rolled out by the door. Getting out he laughed at me and helped me in. 

    "Why are you so bubbly today?" He asked laughing. I just rolled my eyes and signaled for him to go faster. He just laughed at me and pulled out of the parking lot.

    "So if I tell you this you won't tell Jacob before me right?" I said. He nodded. 

    "So I got accepted into my dream school. It is a year program." I said looking at him. A smile instantly made it's way onto his lips. It turned into full blown smile in minutes.

    "That is so great spy girl. I am proud of you." He said glancing at me and then back at the road.

    "Where is this school at?" He asked after a few minutes. I licked my lips and pulled my bottom in between my teeth.

    "France." I said quietly. He gasped and looked at me before looking at the road.

    "That is so far away!" He exclaimed. He didn't sound angry, but he sounded a little bit hurt. I didn't mean for this to hurt him.

    "I didn't know you guys when I applied. I never thought I would get in." I tried explaining. He just nodded and didn't say another word. 

    The rest of the car ride was dead silent. I could feel the tenseness in the air. As we pulled up to the gang house I became nervous. Haven got out of the car as soon as it was parked and helped me into my wheelchair. We helped me up the steps but I stopped him before he opened the door.

   "Are you mad at me?" I asked him. He looked down at me, his hair moving down in front of his eyes. He shook his head.

    "No. You didn't know us yet. I get that you want to go and I support your decision. I am just a little upset because I will have to say goodbye." He said sadly. I nodded and looked down. As soon as he opened the door I was greeted with the noise of laughter. I moved towards the livingroom where the laughing was from. 

    I opened the door to see the three Davis siblings sitting there laughing. As soon as they noticed Haven and I were there the room went silent. I didn't dare make eye contact with any of them. I knew I had tears moving down my face.

    "Why is she crying? Haven if you did something I will murder you." Jacob almost growled out. Haven backed up with his hands up.  

    "No he didn't do anything. I have to talk to you, in private." I said quietly. Jacob nodded and stood up. Without another word he grabbed my wheelchair and pushed me to the stairs. He pushed my wheelchair up the stairs. When we were at the top he pushed me down the long hallway and to the room I have never been in before. The room was neat and very organized. The bed spread was all black with white pillows. 

   When we got into the room he bent down and kissed me. His kiss was heavenly so of course I was gonna kiss him back. Wait this isn't why I was here. I just couldn't get myself to pull away. His kisses made my knees weak. Finally I pulled away. I pulled my lips in between my teeth. 

    "So what did you have to say?" He asked sitting on the bed. I rolled over to him and sat in front of him. Nerves began to bubble inside of me but I pushed then down. 

    "So I got accepted into my dream school." I started. Jacobs frown turned into a huge smile.

    "I am so proud of you little one." He said. I smiled sadly at him.

    "We have a problem though." He raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. The nerves in my stomach weren't staying down easy now. They were trying to take over my body. I started to feel sick but I gulped and continued. 

    "The school is in France."  I said quietly. Jacob instantly froze. 

    "It is a year program and I could learn how to walk with a prosthetic leg. I will also learn so many different spy skills. This has been my dream school since I was a kid." I said looking up at him with pleading eyes. His face held no emotion. 

     "Please say something." I said after moments in silence. He looked as if he was having a mental argument with himself. I lowered my gaze to my lap.

    "You have to go." He said after what felt like years. I snapped my head up to him and stared at him with wide eyes. He stood up and walked over towards me. He knelled down in front of me and put his hands on my cheeks.

    "If you can learn to walk again and you can become stronger and if you really want to go you should. Yes I will miss you like crazy but you must go. This is important to you. It is not like i'm going anywhere. I will be right here when you get back." He said bringing his lips to mine. It wasn't a long kiss just a small peck. 

    "When do you go?" He asked me. 

   "August 7th. So a week." He nodded and rested his head against mine. 

    "I want you with me everyday of that week. I want to see you as much as I can." He said bringing his lips to mine again.
