New chap for you guysss~★★
Sorry for the long wait, been a crazy time for me. xx I'll work harder at updating more frequently, wishing happiness for you all :D

It was hard keeping up with uni since I spent most of my time working.

Ha-Ra really helped me as much as she could but I still had a hard time handing in assignments on time and keeping everything on track.

I went by Dad's house every day and when I couldn't Donghae did.

Today I had a day off from work and decided to go by the house and make food for dad and Eun.

I called dad to make sure they were home. He said that Eun Jae was home but he was out looking for a job.

When I came to the house, the door wasn't locked as it usually was, so I entered.

"Hello? Eun? Are you home?" I called throughout the house as I searched for her.

She wasn't in the kitchen or in the living room. Maybe she was in her bedroom.

I decided to check her bedroom, I knocked first, but when she didn't answer I opened the door.

What I saw when I opened the door made me panic and hysterical. I ran to Eun Jae's skinny, limp and pale body lying on the floor.
"Eun! Wake up!" I shook her body but she didn't respond. I checked to see if she was breathing or had a pulse.

There was a weak pulse and I rapidly lunged out my phone and dialed for an ambulance. I sat next to her body, crying my eyes out while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

When it arrived, the paramedics quickly had her on a stretcher and carried her to the ambulance.

"Can I please come with my sister?" I tucked gently on the sleeve of one of the paramedics, still tears blaring through my eyes.

He nodded, "Sure, hop in here," he gestured to the back where they had closed one of the doors of the ambulance and I stepped inside through the door that was still open.

I sat down beside the stretcher and tightly held Eun Jae's hand telling her unconscious body that everything was going to be okay.

"What's her name? The other paramedic asked. She looked to be around start thirties, with long black curly hair tied into a low ponytail. She was slim and had small cracks in her face that lined out her eyes.

"Her name is Kang Eun Jae and she's my baby sister," I replied breathing rapidly through hiccups of crying.

"Don't worry, we'll make sure that she's fine. Does she have any disease or anything we should be aware of?" She calmly spoke to me.

"No she doesn't... But I think she might have an eating disorder. I don't live at home so I'm not really sure about it, but when I'm there, she never eats anything and she's lost a lot of weight," I sniffled, still holding Eun Jae's hand tighter as if she might run away any moment if I didn't.

"Alright, thank you. That definitely gives us something to work with." She began checking monitors and other things on her body and pumping the oxygen mask.

After that, she didn't ask any more questions and I didn't say anything else. I just sat in silence next to my sister hoping and praying she'd be alright.

When we arrived at the hospital, I called dad to let him know and he said he'd be there as fast as he could.

I texted Ha-Ra about the situation and afterward called Donghae.

"Hey babe, what's up?" He asked happily, completely unaware of what I was about to bombard him with.

"Oppa! I'm at the hospital. It's Eun Jae," I sobbed through the phone.

"What? Is she okay? Are you okay? What happened?" He immediately asked a bunch of questions nearly drowned me in words.

"I'm fine, I'm just really worried. I found her unconscious on the floor in her bedroom I don't know what happened to her," I hiccuped uncontrollably every 15 seconds.

"I'm so sorry babe, I'll be over as soon as I'm done at the SM headquarters, okay?" His voice calmed me a little, but I couldn't stop crying.

"Okay, I'll see you later," I said and we hung up. Then I went to go find a doctor since they had started examining Eun Jae in another room and I had to figure out what was going on.

I saw a man in a white coat and decided to go up to him to see if he could help me in any way.

"Excuse me? Sir?" I carefully approached him.

He turned around, "Yes?"

"Can you help me with something? I need to figure out what is going on with my sister, she was admitted this afternoon and I don't know where she is or what is wrong with her..." My voice was quivering and I could feel more tears pressing on.

"What's her name? I can check and see if she's been written down," he smiled kindly and straightened his light blue tie.

"Her name is Kang Eun Jae, last time I saw her, the paramedics brought her here and then they vanished,"

"Alright, just a second. I'll see what I can do." He spoke politely and went to the front desk to type something into the computer.

He then looked up at me a few minutes later. "So she's in room 203 and she's stable. I'll show you to the room, follow me," He kindly showed me the way to her room and I followd him like a lost puppy.

"Here it is, you can go in and see her," he brushed some invisible dust off his clinically clean white coat and pointed to the door before us.

"Thank you so much for your help sir," I murmured halfheartedly and opened the door to the room Eun Jae was in.

The sight I saw gave me a fright and I began crying all over again. Eun Jae had been propped up on a few machines and tubes were sticking out various places. Her eyes were closed, she looked so peaceful, but there was nothing left on her, only skin and bones.

I should have paid more attention to the fact that Eun Jae obviously was struggling with something, but I didn't. I was so caught up in my own drama that I forgot the most important person in my life.

"I'm so sorry Eun..." I whispered as I sat down on a chair next to her bed and took her thin, fragile hand in mine.

"Y/n?" a weak croak came from Eun Jae, as her eyes slowly fluttered open and landed on me.

"I'm here, don't you worry," I squeezed her hand and gave her a wry smile.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you..."

"Don't be, I'm the idiot who forgot the most important person in my life because I was so caught in myself... I should've helped you sooner..." I sniffled, tears still running down m cheeks.

"The doctors said I might have to go to a Health Center to be treated there..." the sides of her mouth were turned upside down and I could see she was both frustrated and sad about it.

"Hey... It's okay, we need to get you the help you deserve. I'm going to help you and be here all the way," I assured her and caressed her cheek like a mother.

What would mom have done? What would she say?
I was sorry to Eun Jae and mom for not doing the job properly to take care of my family.

To be continued... 😊 Hope you enjoyed 🥰 thanks for reading! xx
