After a bit I feel the barge stop I listening for any sound or signal from Bard then our barrel is knocked over. Kili and I fall out with the fish covering us. Kili helps me up as hear more barrels being nocked over.

"Get your hands off me." I hear Dwalin say

I look to see the remaining dwarves and Bilbo struggle out of their barrels, looking greasy and slimy. Bard approaches the dock keeper and slips him a coin telling him something then turns to us. "Follow me." Bard motion for us to follow him

As we stride through Laketown, a young man runs up to Bard.

"Da! Our house, it's being watched." He tells Bard

Bard looks at us. Soon we're all climb out of Bard's toilet. One by one we climbed out. Bards son and Bofur helped me out.

"Da...why are there dwarves climbing out of our toilet?"

"Will they bring us luck?"

Bards daughters gave us blankets to wrap up in, and our wet things laying in front of the fire to dry.

"It may not be the best fit, but it'll keep you warm." Bard tells us

I see Thorin looking out a window. Bilbo walks over to him, looking out the window now too "You look like you've seen a ghost." He tells Thorin

"He has. The last time we saw such a weapon, a city was on fire. It was the day the dragon came." Balin tells him

Thorin looks sadly away. Balin began to tell the story of when smuag attack the city of dale and Erebor and of how Girion the Lord of Dale stond up against the dragon.

"Had the aim of Men been true that day, much would have been different," Thorin says once Balin was done

Bard approaches Thorin. "You speak as if you were there."

"All dwarves know the tale."

"Then you would know that Girion hit the dragon. He loosened a scale under the left wing. One more shot and he would have killed the beast." Bard son tell him

Dwalin chuckled "That's a fairy story, lad. Nothing more."

Thorin strides up to Bard. "You took our money. Where are the weapons?"

"Wait here." Bard says leaving outside.

I look over to see Thorin, Balin, Fili, and Kili talk quietly together. I then see Bofur walking over to me.

"How yea feeling las?"

"I'm fine, just fine!" I snapped at him "I'm sorry Bofur I didn't mean to snap at yah like that. I'm just getting tired of being asked that." I tell him quickly after realize what I did

He smiled " That's alright Kaya, you know it's just because we all care about you right?"

"Yeah, you 'all' care about me. But that is far from true isn't it, you and Bilbo seem to be the one who truly cares."

"Now las that's far from it and you know it," Bofur says crossing his arms

I narrowed my eyes "Alright then name one dwarf," I put up one finger "one dwarf beside yourself that truly cares."

"I can name yea five dwarves. There's Ori, Dori, Balin, and Oin."

"Ri…ght look Ori seem too young and innocent to know not to care. As for the others i'm sure their just being nice."

"Alright, what about Kili then?"

"What about him?" I asked

"The lad cares about you and you know it."

I opened my to reply but close it as i see that Bard has returns and he lays down a package on the table as the dwarves stand around it. He loosens the wrappings and reveals a couple of hand-made weapons. The dwarves look at them in shock, then pick up the weapons and look at them in disgust.

"What is this?" Thorin asked picking up one of the weapons

"Pike-hook. Made from an old harpoon." Bard tells him

"And this?" Kili asks hold another one

"A crow-bill, we call it, fashioned from a smithy's hammer. It's heavy in hand, I grant, but in defense of your life, these will serve you better than none." Bard tells him

Thorin and Dwalin look disgustedly at each other.

"We paid you for weapons. Iron-forged swords and axes!"

"It's a joke!" Bofur says throwing the weapon back on the table, and the others follow suit.

"You won't find better outside the city armory. All iron-forged weapons are held there under lock and key." Bard tells them

"Thorin. Why not take what's been offered and go? I've made do with less; so have you. I say we leave now." Balin tells thorin

"Balins right, we should just be happy with what Bard was able to give us. We do need to leave."

"You're not going anywhere."

"What did you say!?"

"There are spies watching this house and probably every dock and wharf in the town. You must wait till nightfall."

Hearing this, everyone begin to settle down. I wince as I slowly sit down on a couch. I examine the bandage around my waist at the injury area.

"You should really let Oin get look at that Kaya." I hear a voice say

I jumped looking up sighing in relief seeing that's it Bilbo "Oh, Bilbo it's you. I'm fine really its nothing."

"NOTH-nothing, Are you serious right now Kaya. your awfully pale and that bandage looked bad too." He points out

"Look Bilbo I'll tell Oin if it get worse alright."

"You promise me, you will?" He asked

I weakly smile "promise."
