Chapter 7

After a while, we see some elves pass our cell with Thorin. I went to the cell door to see them push him in a cell.

"Did he offer you a deal?" I hear Balin asked after the elf guards left

"He did. I told him he could go 'Ish kakhfê ai'd dur rugnu!'" Thorin Growled "him and all is kin!" He shouted

I've heard enough so I go over and sit on the bench. Kili smiles and pulls me on to his lap "Rest now Amrâlimê." He says before kissing my forehead

I hum in response and lean into his chest listening to the rhythm of his heartbeat. Drifting off to sleep just glad that Thorin can't see us.

Kili's p.o.v.:

I look down and see how peacefully Kaya looks sleeping. I move some hair from her face. I know Our people hate each other but maybe together we can change that. I smile at the thought as I hold her closer and start to drift off to the sound of her soft low snoring. But jolt awake as I hear two of the elf guards burst into our cell and try to pry her away from me.

Kaya's p.o.v.:
I'm jerked awake by some yelling and someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and see two elf guards hold Kili as I feel one shaking me. Once the guard sees that I'm awake he starts dragging me out of the cell, while the other two hold Kili back as he still fights them.

"Calm down Kili please, everything will be fine," I tell him

He looks at me then nods and stops fighting. They lock the cell and push me to get me moving. I hear the other dwarves shout and ask questions as the elves lead me away.

"May I ask what this is all about?" I asked

"Your present has been requested by the king." One of them answered

We continue walking until I'm standing in front of my grandfather sitting on his throne.

"You do realize that your Mother and you are banished from this realm?" He asked

"Yes, I'm fully aware of that." I crossed my arm

"Tell me, why are you here and what are you doing traveling with Thorin Oakeninshield? what brings you through Mirkwood?" He asked

"Like I told Legolas, that as none of your business. But since you're so "curious" about it." I roll my eyes "His my friend and I'm helping him and his people reclaim their home since you won't."

"You were not there when it happen Kaya," he said

"No, but my mother was, she told how you just turn your back on those poor dwarves when they needed your help."

"I was not going to let that dragon slip any of our kin's blood for what those dwarves had brought on to
themselves."

"She was right, you really don't have a heart for anyone or anything outside your own realm do you."

"How dare you think you can talk to your king like that." He rises from his throne

"My king." I repeat back " You have not been nor will you ever be my king you lost that right when you banded my mother and me from this place for the love of my father and for her trying to help the dwarves of Erebor. The way I see it Thorin is more my King then you'll ever be."

"Loyal are we. You don't even know the dwarves of Erebor like I do."

"I could care least, I've traveled through thick and thin with them, they're my friends I'd do anything for them. Not that you'd understand that." I growled, "Now tell me the reason I'm in your thorn room."

"Ah yes. The reason you're here is I have a deal if you're interested." He smiled

I raise a brow "You're offering me a deal." I sigh "Alright I'm listening." Showing, he has my full attention

"Right, I'll give you and those dwarves your freedom you have my word. But in return, you have to get me the white gems made of pure starlight that rightfully belong to our people."

I'm shocked as I let what he said sink in. Our freedom for stupid gems, sound easy but then again the dwarves would probably hate me more, not to mention It would hurt Kili deeply, I'd also give Thorin another reason to be disgust and hate me and well they are my friends.

"So what do you say?" He asked

"No."

"What?"

"You heard me I said no." I growled " If you think I will betray my friends just because I was your kin your wrong. I have no right to take those gems from Thorin and I know he won't just give them to me. So if you want those dumb gems of your so badly, then you can ask Thorin yourself for them." I tighten my hands to fits

"Is that so, would you die for any of them?" He asked "You may take her back." he motions for his guards to take me back to the others.

They brought me back to the dungeon and shoved in one of cell hard. I nearly fell but catch myself in time. I turned and yell to the guards "Hey, I know I'm a prisoner here but you don't have to be so rude." I huffed turning back around to see that Thorin is staring at me. [Great I had to be put with him.]
