Changbin was now 15. His hair was still the same boring color: black. He wanted to dye his hair so much but his parents would never let him, because that's gay. Homo. Only fags would actually dye their hair a different color. However... You know what? Changbin is gay. It's just that his family isn't really the type that would accept that. In fact, they would never accept that. That's why he always kept that secret, hiding from everything and everyone.
After that incident of him almost drowning 9 years ago, the boy got really shy and began to be more introverted, rejecting everyone that would approach him wanting to become friends with. But eventually he loosened up a bit and made himself some friends because starting off high school without anyone would be extremely embarrassing for him since his older sister scared the hell out of him about how high school was all about making friends, going out and getting in a relationship with someone... Yeah, exactly... He was specially scared about this last fact.
The black haired boy got again to face the reality of him having to know how to, at least, float without the help of a floater. That's why he enrolled himself in a swimming school 5 years ago and began taking classes to be better at swimming. In there he met some of his friends and also his actual boyfriend: HyunJin.
Most of people his age were really open about LGBTQ issues, so you could often see gay couples in school halls - usually the only thing that threatened them was their parents - and that's why Changbin was free to be with HyunJin at school. His boyfriend being all touchy, jeaulous, a total honey, calling him pet names, and all that bullshit people dating do- or, at least, should-, but that was too much fucking sweetness to Changbin. Actually, he hated this idea of dating someone. In fact only dated HyunJin mainly because of two reasons:
1. He didn't want to be alone since his sister said that he would be bullied for not having anyone;
2. He was more comfortable with him then with his others friends.
Everything was for commodity, he just didn't want to be out of the high schoolers way of living, he just didn't want to be back at his more than introverted days. But also, he thought that loving someone was actually having to handle them, because once his mom said something that made him think like that."Honestly, your father is disgusting sometimes and I gotta handle him a lot. But we're married anyways."
-------------
Changbin opened up his eyes and saw water right in front of him, but he couldn't see anything properly because there were some kind of strings blocking his vision, something that actually looked more like metal grids... Then he felt something on his chest and right after that short pain, she shutted his eyes once more.
After some time, he ended up opening his eyes again, having now a more clear vision of the situation: he was trapped in a cage inside of a cave, just a like a home bird or a circus lion.
He could see water in front of him because his cage was actually hanging on metal chains connected to the 'ceiling' of the cave, a gigantic lake under him, and he was able to see all that because he had night vision, like an owl.
The metal chains were also tightly chaining his wrists behind him. His legs, feet and neck were also all chained up and he couldn't move because of that. He felt useless, horrible. He felt pain again, but not because of the chains. Not because of of the cage. Not because of the place and the water. He felt strange because of his chest burning due to no reason, his heart beating fast, his mind playing tricks on him. He wasn't having good thoughts... No he wasn't. He was having a painful thinking, really deep thoughts and... He couldn't get rid of them.
That was it until he shutted his eyes once again, now waking up at his normal cozy room at home, realizing it was all a dream.
-------------
He ran to his computer in the middle of the night, thanking god it was a friday so the other day he didn't need to wake up early for school and now he could focus on searching about weird dreams.
Google search history:
-Dreaming about chains
-Dreams about being in a cage

-What does dreaming of being trapped meansHe was typing lots and lots of things, searching everywhere but he found a total of zero things related to the dream he had. It wasn't exactly the worst nightmare he had ever had and since he liked dark things all what he dreamt about was actually considered a dream, not a nightmare.
----------------
Days and days had passed and every night when he went to sleep, he had this same dream. It was starting to worry him.
"Mom... Can I talk to you for a moment?," he asked his mom and she nodded smiling, leaving on the kitchen counters the food she was making for dinner and going with her son to sit on the kitchen's table.
"What happened, dear? Usually you don't like to talk to me, actually you prefer to be alone, did something bad happen?," she asked giving him worried glances and he replied to her facing the table, trying his hardest to avoid making eye contact with her, he was feeling really bad for that.
He told his mom all what was happening about his dream, and honestly he was just asking for her help because HyunJin told him to do so. His boyfriend cared about him but felt that he couldn't do much about it and he was right.
After talking to his mom, she came to a conclusion that he needed a therapist. And there was Changbin, laying on his therapist's sofa telling him all the things he felt, telling him about the dream and how that was literally the only thing he could dream of.
"So you're telling me you just dream this and only this?" the man asked and he quietly nodded while he wrote down things.
"I know it seems terrifying but I suggest you continue to come to our little sessions for you to vent. Venting can only make things easier for your body and mind to relax, maybe you're only stressed about something you're hiding or running of. That's actually 90% of all the meaning behind everyone's dreams."
Changbin came home after the session and skipped dinner. He layed on his bed and started to stare at the ceiling, immersed in his own little world, reflecting about his therapist's words but... What was he so stressed about? He couldn't find the answer anywhere in his mind, so he decided to take nap and forget about it for now, but he ended up sleeping and having that dream again.
