Chapter 15

"You remember going off on your own and looking at the knick-Knacks?" Jackson questions me.

I pull my eyebrows together trying to recall the events. I remember walking away from Jackson bored out of my mind and finding a...

Flashback of her memory

Something catches my eye in the corner of my eye. I walk over to where the item is on the shelf.

A picture of a girl no older than 17 is standing in a field of grass that comes just below her knees. A blue sundress is on her body with her blonde hair flowing around her. Her eyes aren't even there really, in place are black scribbles. She's staring back at me with an emotionless expression.

I go to set the picture down but all of a sudden it starts to shake. I grip the golden frame tighter so the picture won't slip out of my hands.

the frame is starting to heat up and burn my hands.

It's like the picture starts to come to life. The girl in the picture turns her head and behind her and I realize that her eyes are no longer black, their a shade of blue now. She turns back around so she's facing me and her eyes are filled with horror.

A black mass comes from the field behind her and she opens her mouth I'm guessing to scream.

End of flashback

I feel someone shaking my shoulders and get pulled out of my inner thoughts. An ear piercing scream welcomes me when I am brought back into the world and out of my thoughts.

"Stop screaming!" Jackson yells at me. His face is inches from mine and I can see his features perfectly. His face is perfectly illuminated from the light in the room and all his spikes in his hair are styled to perfection.

I didn't even realize I was screaming until Jackson said so. I quickly closed my mouth to save all of our ears from bleeding. I didn't even know I could scream that loud.

Jackson looks at me and stands up. He reaches a hand out to me and I take it, glad that I'm not gonna be forced to stand up on my own.

"Here" Jackson says handing me a pile of clothes."Go clean yourself up. There's a bathroom at the end of the hallway. We'll talk after".

I nod in agreement and proceed to the bathroom.

I walk into the bathroom and flick the light on. Its a decent size there's a shower in the corner and a vanity with basic supplies. I shrug and peel off my clothes that I have been wearing since who knows when and hop in the shower. I shampoo my hair and clean up all in a record time of 5 minutes. I think that's the quickest time it's taken me to take a shower.

I slip on the clothes that Jackson kindly provided me with and look at myself in the mirror. The shirt he gave me it actually a tank on it it has 'NYC' in big white letters on it, which stand out on the black. He gave me a pair of light washed jeans that actually fit me quite good. Wait... How does he know my size, I never told him. Um either he's a great guesser or or he pays more attention to me than I thought.

I comb my hair out and decide to let it air dry into little curls.

I exit the bathroom and see Jackson and Ronnie near the storefront. They notice me and wave me over.

"You look good, I have great taste on women" Ronnie says cockily.

I feel my eyes go wide on my face. Wait. Hold up. Ronnie picked out these clothes? Okay that's ten times weirder than Jackson picking out my clothes. How did he know my size. Creeper.

I'm guessing they notice my shocked expression because they both chuckle. Meanwhile I'm standing here with an 'I don't find this funny' look on my face.

"Ahahaha, we checked the tag on your shirt to find out your size, ahaha, I'm not a creep." Ronnie said between fits of laughter.

I stand their suddenly feeling uncomfortable and shifting on my feet as we fall into an awkward silence. I bite my lip in boredom and cross my arms.

"Okay" Jackson says standing up straight and clapping his hands together," how bout' we go to the cafe down the street and talk about this. It may be a little risky to talk about this here given the recent events", Jackson says putting a hand on the door handle.

"Sounds good to me" Ronnie says.

"This place has a cafe? Well why didnt we go ten minutes ago instead of standing here like idiots" I say with a 'duh' look on my face. I push past Ronnie and Jackson opening up the door and being greeted by warm air.

I hear Jackson laugh for behind and turn around to meet his gaze on mine. His perfect eyes are staring back at me with so much care and warmth. The sun is glinting off of his skin perfectly illuminating his stunning features, making him look ten times sexier, if that's even possible.

Ronnie slaps a hand on Jackson's shoulder making us both jump from surprise.

"If you two are done having a Classic love story moment then I would like to get going. I need some coffee."

I pull my gaze away from Jackson's in embarrassment, feeling her rise to my cheeks.

Oh Jackson what are you doing to me.
