Chapter 30
My arms rested on the side of Hades' head. I balled my hands into fists, praying for Jackson and Ronnie to hurry the hell up. What if they didn't remember what room. Or what if-
My thoughts are silenced by a bang, followed by a yell. Hades shifts into smoke underneath me and I am left on the bed alone. I prop myself up onto my elbows and gaze around the room with wide eyes. Silence has settled over the room, giving it an eerie atmosphere.
I slowly begin to sit up fully, when Hades smoke spreads from the corner of the room, quickly engulfing the whole room in, well, smoke.
I panic and jolt up off the bed, spinning around the room in a circle. I walk towards where the door way should be, but just bump into a wall instead. If it wasn't for the smoke I could've been out of here, but no, they had to screw the plan up.
I rub my eyes, the smoke irritating them. I walk around the room hopelessly, giving up. I plop down where I am standing.
"You win!" I yell slapping my arms through the air, "I hope your happy!"
Sighing I close my eyes, feeling hopeless. We planned this out so well, how could it fail?
The sound of doors being slammed open catch my attention. I stand up, almost tripping over my own two feet and look which way the sound came from.
"Hades! Just stop this!" I hear a voice yell from the opposite side of the room. It sounds like Ronnie's, but I can't be sure.
I jog to the other side of the room, feeling my way around objects that I don't remember being there. Hades probably moved them to throw me off track.
I'm almost to the opposite side of the room when strong arms wrap around my waist. A gasp escapes my lips, and I breathe out a quick 'no'. I squirm under my captors hold and grasp onto there arm like structure, trying to pry them off of me. I give up when we start to move around, the smoke clouding my vision once again. I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to avoid the wind in my eyes.
"Let me go!" I yell kicking my feet against his legs.
"Elena, I wouldn't do that if I were you" Hades says creepy. I freeze and open my eyes, horrified that he spoke.
"Good girl, now this won't hurt a bit" Hades says menacingly. I fidget not aware of what he means.
He turns my body so I am facing him and I'm staring at nothing but a mold of his body, a smoke mold.
Hades eyes are easy to make out however, they are the coldest thing on his body. The cold little specs stare at me blankly. Unexpectedly his mouth opens up and I feel the air being pulled from my body, my soul in pain. I try to let out a cry of pain, or to tell him to stop whatever he's doing, but I can't find my voice. I only hear the voice in my head.
I feel my eyes becoming heavy, and the smoke blurring around me. I tell myself to keep my eyes open and my aching body refuses. I close my eyes for a second.
"Get your hands off of her, you monster!"
My eyes pop open, but I regret it afterward because a shot of pain was fired my way. I squeeze my eyes shut and open them slowly this time. I keep my eyes open, only because I know my soulmate is nearby, ready and waiting to save me. I smile to myself satisfied that hades is gonna lose.
Hades squirms and writhes in pain, against my chest, causing my body to feel uneasy. I close my eyes praying the pain to just end.
I feel the grip loosen on my waist and I take that as an advantage to get away. Big mistake.
