Corridors and Collisions

Yukhei watched the boy run a hand through his grey locks, take a couple of books and cute folders out of his locker and slam it. He hugged the folders to his chest and began to weave through the current of students trying to get to their own classes.

Yukhei waited thirty seconds until he was half way down the hall. He was tall, maybe not as tall as Yukhei, but tall non the less, but slim as a whip. His shoulders and hips were narrow and his waist was even smaller - kind've an hourglass shape. Maybe that's why Yukhei had...

Whatever. Stop it. Yukhei didn't want to think about what had happened between them that night. The mere thought of putting Lucas (his nickname for his...thing) in a hole that wasn't a mouth or vagina...it made his stomach turn.

But Jaehyun said it felt good. Really good. But of course Jaehyun would say that, he was gay. Gay with a male soulmate.

When the boy turned the corner, Yukhei pushed himself off of the wall and began to shove his way after him. It was easier for him - Yukhei was on the basketball team, and with all the training Jaehyun made them do there was no way Yukhei could be described as anything but buff. He couldn't really remember his face. He had the shadow of a name that he couldn't really grasp. But Yukhei could tell that the grey-haired male was too polite for his surroundings. Too kind, too sweet, too pretty - no, Yukhei, you did not just say that.

Yukhei was at the end of the corridor in half the time of his stalkee. He turned the corner...and threw himself back again.

How could no one else need to go that way? There was nobody but that boy idly strolling down the corridor, his eyes glued to the floor.

Yukhei couldn't help but feel like they were in a kind've cowboy-duel situation. At any moment, somebody was going to shout out 'Draw' and the boy would turn around to face Yukhei and it would all be over.

But his soulmate (he was still trying to wrap his head around it) hadn't looked up, not once the whole time Yukhei had been watching him. So maybe if Yukhei flipped his hood up and looked down like he did...maybe he'd get away with it.

He turned the corner once again, hood up, eyes down, pupils dark. He stepped as carefully and silent as he could whilst still moving as fast as possible. The boy looked up momentarily - but that was to be expected. If Yukhei had been walking down a corridor and heard footsteps behind him, he would've looked too after all.

He coughed at the exact moment he boy looked around.

Great save, dude.

After that little moment of excitement, he was back to watching him. He was moving slowly, tiredly. Yukhei couldn't help being reminded of Sadness from Inside Out (that movie was the shit. Yukhei may or may not have cried).

So was something bothering him?

Yukhei was close now, two metres away at most. He could smell him faintly. He smelt like vanilla. Yukhei wanted to get closer but he couldn't. Any closer and the boy would get that weird sense...the sense that somebody was following you. Which wouldn't be wrong because Yukhei was following him.

Suddenly...

"Ya! Kim Jungwoo!"

The voice came from behind them.

Yukhei froze. He boy did too.

Fuck, fuck, fuck he's going to turn around.

Yukhei had a split second to make a decision. He couldn't turn back, he didn't know who'd called the smaller male's name. Besides, that would be weird. If somebody had been walking behind you down a corridor and that turned the other way as soon as you turned around, wouldn't you think something was off too?'

He could only go on forward.

But what if the boy...no, Jungwoo his name was. What if he recognised him? He'd seemed to out of it to remember anything yesterday during the panic attack. But what if he remembered Yukhei from that night?

And in that second, Yukhei made a decision.

He kept on walking as the boy turned around - straight into his path. His nodded his hood further down as he collided with Jungwoo, sending him flat onto his back.

Jungwoo grunted, cradling his arm.

Yukhei wanted to apologise...but what if he remembered his voice too? He probably couldn't have remembered his face after yesterday, but maybe his voice...

There was no time.

Yukhei didn't turn back.

He bolted down to the end of the hall, turning the corner and pushing himself onto the wall. He slid down it, pressing his knees to his chest.

"Woah, Woo, are you okay?" He heard a voice say. There was a clatter of footsteps.

So there wasn't just one of them. Two...maybe three, then.

"Did that dickhead even apologise?" Someone said.

"N-no."

Yukhei's heart hammered as he hears the boy's voice.

"Come on, Woo, let's get to class."

Yukhei couldn't sit around any longer. Jungwoo had been walking this way, hadn't he? And he'd recognise the hoodie...so would his friends.

Yukhei got up and sprinted halfway down the corridor, taking the stairs two at a time to the second floor.

"Wong Yukhei, you're late," said the teacher as Yukhei walked into his geography lesson.

He ignored the teacher as he walked across the room to sit next to Johnny.

He slapped his backpack on the table, laying his head on it.

The teacher sighed, rolling his eyes as he carried on writing on the whiteboard. There was no point in scolding Wong Yukhei.

"Dude you okay?" Johnny asked.

Yukhei shook his head.

No, he wasn't today.

So I just made an Instagram for this Wattpad account.

It's letsgetthatqueso, inspired by our King Jeffrey. Please follow it or whatever I'm kind've boring so meh.

Next chapter will be Yuwin, the one after that will be Jaehyunparkian (with Rosemary 😊). The one after that will be Jaeyong and then there will be loads of Luwoo (and a bit of angst).
