"Moments ago, police reported the death of the most eccentric and reclusive billionaire."

The sound of shattering glass filled the small donut shop causing everyone to turn their heads to look at the woman who was now standing near a pile of broken plates and scattered donuts.

The brunette stared at the television screen in shock as the words 'Sir Reginald Hargreeves is dead' flashed across the screen. Her hands shook slightly and tears blurred her vision as she struggled to breath.

A hand was placed on her shoulder before the comforting voice of Agnes, one of the waitresses at Griddy's Doughtnuts, came from beside her. "Emilia, honey. Are you okay?" Agnes asked.

Emilia Kate Hargreeves glanced over at the woman, her eyes glossed over as she seemed to be both looking at her and not looking at her at the same time. The brunette remained quiet as her eyes flickered to the ground.

"I'm sorry about the glass," Emilia whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's okay, sweetie. It was just a few plates," Agnes assured her. The girl nodded slightly before bending down and beginning to collect all of the glass up in her hands.

Agnes could see her shaking hands and the way she seemed to stare at the floor like her life depended on it. The old woman looked up at the tv screen and frowned at the sight of what was on the news.

She looked back down at the girl before bending down and taking the glass from. "I'll clean this up. Why don't you go ahead and take the rest of the night off? There aren't many customers anyways," Agnes told her.

Emilia glanced up at her. "No, I'm fine," she tried to say, but Agnes only shook her head. "It's fine, Emilia. You need to be with your family right now. Take the rest of the week off," Agnes told her.

Emilia stared at the woman for a moment as she bit her lip. "Are you sure?" she asked. Agnes gave her a kind smile. "Positive. Now go on. I've got it," Agnes said.

Emilia smiled. "Thank you," she whispered. "It's no problem, dear," Agnes told her. Emilia stood up and went behind the counter to put away her things and grab her purse. She then walked to the front door and turned back to the woman.

"Have a nice night, Agnes," Emilia said. "You too, dear. I'm sorry about your father," Agnes told her. Emilia sighed and turned back towards the door. "Me too," she muttered.

Emilia stared at the building in front of her as a mixture of emotions washed over her. It had been years since she had so much as glanced at the building. After what happened with Five and Ben, she had honestly doubted that she would ever come back. And now, standing in front of the very building that held so much happiness and pain, Emilia didn't know what to think.
