Me,Andy and Lauren. sit down outside our bedrooms as we take out the monopoly game in hopes of finding some sort of entertainment from it.As i was laying out the board,Andy picked up a piece of the paper money and immediately dropped it and wiped his hands on the chair he was sitting on.
"What's up?"
Lauren asks when she notices Andy's scrunched up face.
"That money has got mold on it.."
He said in disgust.I roll my eyes and lean my hand towards the money to pick it up.
"It's not mol-"
I make a disgusted face like Andy just did and looked away,dropping the money and almost gagging in disgust.
"It's mold."
I say.
"It's mold."
He repeats while laughing.
I see that some of the money is stuck together and sigh,picking it up and showing it to Andy.Sweet baby Jesus,the games here are deadass crap.
"Well then,i say we use the ones as tens and the paper nubs as ones."
He says,acting as if a light bulb just appeared on his head as he sorts out the money into different places so we won't get confused.
"Whatever,i'm gonna win anyways."
Lauren smirks while cracking her knuckles as if she is ready to beat Andy up.I was playing as the banker since i suck at Monopoly because it includes math.
"Oh really now?What about my birthday last year?"
He says while pointing to himself and clicking his tongue.I giggle at his cockiness and sort the deeds into a few piles so it's easier to give out.
"Piss off Andy,i let you win."
She says in a bratty child voice like she was trying to get her way which made me and Andy chuckle with amusement.
Lauren grabs the nickel as her player and we both wait for Andy to pick his character.
"I think..i'll be the shoe."
Andy says as he was about to grab the shoe.Lauren,for some reason,slaps his hand as he was going to get the silver shoe.
"No,you be the battle cap."
She says defensively,grabbing the cap and putting it in his hand.I furrow my brows,what's got her knickers in a twist?
"Dude,i wanna be the shoe.What's weong with that?"
Andy says as he drops the cap and reaches for the shoe again but Lauren grabs his wrist before it reaches the shoe and looks at him sadly.
"Dad,was always the shoe."
She said in a broken voice,i look at Lauren checking if she was ok.
Andy slowly picked another character and looked down,clearing his throat.
"Yeah,he was always the shoe."
6:45 am.
The Mutant Underground.
I was warm in bed with Andy hugging me from behind,i was hugging the pillow infront of me when i feel a gentle shake on my arm.I slowly open my eyes and look at the figure who was waking me up.
"Psst,Tori."
Caitlin says.I widen my eyes and try to get Andy's arm off of me,feeling my cheeks heat up because of the fact i was in bed with her son.I cursed at myself for not being able to remove Andy's grip and just gave up,looking at Caitlin.
"Yeah?"
I ask,noticing the look on her face and her clothes.She was wearing a grey jumper and a maroon shirt,her hair was sort of messy and down and she had a bag slinged on her.I noticed it had a small pistol inside it and some necessities.
I gave her a confused face and she knew how observant i was so therefore she knows i saw how she was dressed.I knew she was going somewhere.
"Wake up Andy.Meet me at the entrance with Lauren and Andy."
She says and leaves my room,quietly shutting my door.I watch from behind the curtained windows as her shadow walks away,i shake my head in confusion and shake Andy.
