I pushed my blonde hair back behind my ear, grasping a hold of vias hand as we crossed the road.
We had just been for a little stroll after Olivia came home from kindergarten. She had a new book clutched to her hand as she came and hugged me and her face was beaming with joy. Like she was proud to be the new owner of it, she would take great care of it.
We walked through a small back alley way to reach a long dirt track that we began to follow.
"Mommy"
"Yes olivia" i looked down at Via, her inquisitive face looking up at mine.
"Well um my teacher a-at school said that everyone had dads or has them. Why don't I have one?"
I paused walking without even thinking, looking away from that darn beautiful tooth gap she has. I sighed as I spoke
"Well Olivia, some people I guess are just lucky enough that the daddy stays with them. However, we aren't one of the lucky ones, but we have eachother"
Truth: he left
However: that's not the full story but, I'm not going to get into that... yet.I squeezed her hand as she opened her mouth up to speak however pausing in her tracks as she seen the park up ahead.
I saw her smile, so beautiful, as she began to run up to a swing.
The park was quite large, it had a large climbing frame and a rocket slide that was very high up. The monkey bars connected to a swing-set that were placed the closest to the little stream that ran down the bank side.
The park had many people in, ages from 2 to about 50. There were toddlers, teenagers and Middle Ages people who mostly came with other children however there was one group of boys aged around 20 who were kicking around a ball. But I only seen them from a distance.I can remember going here all the time with daniel. It was our place. We would sit on the swings for hours just talking about anything and everything. It was great, but that was before the stressful times called adulthood :).
I watched as Olivia ran to the swing set, she seemed so happy that was till she tripped over on a stick.
I immediately ran to her as I heard her yelp, I could see this other guy running to her but he wasn't my main priority to look at.
I reached olivia to see she wasn't crying, she was also stood up, holding hands with this other guy.
Daniel...
