*mckenzies pov*

I woke up later then daniel again, he was up with via for it just of been an hour or so because it was nearly 10.
I sighed before walking downstairs, wondering if Keri has phoned my mom yet to arrange to meet her. I'm indecisive now, to whether I want to meet, but if I don't I'll regret forever. What would you do?

But when Keri stood up at the kitchen table she explained to me she had already spoke to my mother, and I would be meeting her at 1.

So three hours..

Olivia knew what was going on, though no one told her. When I stood outside the bathroom after having a shower she took my hand, the blue towel wrapped around me, and walked me to daniels room.

"are you going to see my other grandma today?" Her eyes sparkled with curiosity, her blond hair in plaits anna must of done.

I nodded, "yeah Livvy, I haven't seen her in 5 years," I explained.

She nodded, "I know you've already told me that," she said sassily like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Anna fought me how to speak to ten in Spanish-"

And so the conversation faded into everything in olivias world, she loved it at keris. She hated it at my past apartment and I already know it.

Since moving out of there I quit my job at the cafe, I stopped by once to talk to the manager who I could call a friend I suppose and explained to him what the fuck was going on in my world. He couldn't be happier, but warned me not to let the fame get to my head or let it get to daniels.

It wouldn't, daniel wouldn't be like that and neither would I. We're too humble :)

I brushed my hair.

My last apartment was disgusting, dirty and cramped with a lingering smell of mold which, most likely if we stayed longer, would surely make us both ill.

But we were saved, thankfully.

I stood up from my chair, putting on a blue t-shirt and black jeans with a black jacket that I slung over my arm. It was a hot day.

I put my bag on my shoulder too, checking to see if I didn't look too dressed or like a slob. And thankfully I didn't look like either.

I was shitting it.

I walked downstairs with via before walking into the kitchen. Keri was standing next to the island having a coffee whilst daniel was sitting there too, with a frappe in hand.

"You ready?" Keri kindly asked whist daniel looked me up and down grinning before outing his kind face back on.

I blushed slightly, trying to hide it from Keri. I think I did, I hope i did.

"Sure," I said half sarcastically, not rudely.

She half smiled, "do you know where you're going?"

I shook my head.

"Birch cafe," she spoke, knowing I knew where it was.

I nodded, I did.

They all hugged me goodbye, daniel wishing an extra good luck before offering a ride there, I declined again before waving a goodbye to anna who walked down the stairs, exciting the home.

I sighed when I was outside, checking my phone.12:49. Well I would be on time, just.

I walked there, making it there for 12 on the dot. Perfectly imperfect I suppose.

I was terrified.
Stupidly terrified.

I stood outside a minute, composing myself before walking in the large cafe that had an old fashion theme going on, low roofs and dark wood. It was cute.

Immediately I was greeted by a wave from my mother, should I even call her that? I suppose we will see.

I sighed, again walking over to her table. She looked like she was contemplating standing up to hug me but she didn't. I sat down opposite.

She had aged, these past 5 years mustn't of been good to her. Good.

"You look like a real young woman now," she said after a minute of silence, nit picking at the differences that have been made in the 5 years.

"I'm not sixteen anymore," I responded quite bluntly.

There was another pause.

"No, you're not," she said quite sadly.

The whole scene was uncomfortable. Her roots were becoming grey from the light brown they once were. Her eyes had a line running below just light her forehead. Prominent when scrutinising. She looked older then she was, 49, but not too old. Perhaps, 52.

"You're birthday will be next month, may 22nd, In face exactly a month."

Does she want mom points?

I nodded. True, I'll be 21.

Daniels birthday was just before lavender was born. 2nd April <3

A waiter came over thankfully and broke the tension asking us for drinks.

"I'll have a glass of wine please," my mother spoke.

I looked directly at her, "we aren't celebrating."

"I am," she responded.

I paused taking a breath, "I'll have a wine too please."

I will need that.

"I'll need ID please," the waiter explained.

Sigh

"She's 21," my mother snapped to him.

"I still need-"

"She's 21."

I half smiled to myself when the waiter walked away, my mom smiled to me for a moment too.

But I looked away.

Well, this was... awkward.
