"Uh hey, your daughter just fell over so I just ran over to see if she was okay".
Daniels voice was strong and passionate. Something I missed yet something that simultaneously hurt my heart. He wasn't mine, not anymore...His eyes trailed up, landing splat on my face
"M-mckenzie!?"
His face lit up but then retrieved back to look uncomfortable."Uh, I should go-"
And once again, that's a prime example of my brain not functioning to the full extent and capacity it owns.I reached for olivias hand and she took it gladly, we began to walk away when Daniel grabbed my arm, spinning me around and stopping me.
"Sorry I- I just thought maybe we could catch up"
Catch up, rEaLlY pErSoNaLly I tHiNk ThAtS a gReAt iDeA. Not.
I looked down at his hand holding onto my arm"Daniel I don't know, me and Olivia need to get back".
I leant over and whispered to him
"Her mom won't be happy if I'm late again to drop off Olivia, I babysit her"Babysitting. Really kenzie is that all you could come up with!?
To be fare, it's better then saying "oh hey daniel, this is your kid that you never even knew of that I raised up on this planet all alone. But that's okay, whilst you were touring i worked my ass off just to provide a shitty one bedroom apartment for my daughter after my family disowned me. But hey how's your life going?"
Yup. Babysitting is a way better idea.Daniels face looked puzzled as for what to say "well I'm staying here for three weeks, want to hang out sometime?"
I froze. Did I really want to hang out with my ex and get my heart broken again!? Hell to the na
"Sure, that would be great" I lied. I'm so fake ugh.
He smiled and I could see in the background Corbyn looking over at me smiling. I looked back to Daniel to see him looking at me, as if to see what he missed in the past years he left me.
"I- I um should probably go now. I'll ring you sometime". He smiled at me and I nodded
"Goodbye"
I hate that wordI walked off, mad and upset. Ugh olivias dad literally left my life and thinks it's appreciated to come back in it.
—9:48pm
After reading Olivia a story till she fell asleep I decided to go outside. After all I couldn't sleep. I walked out to the fresh air, it soothes me but pressed against my face making my eyes want to let go of the tears they were holding.
Yes. I'm very much so not over that conversation I had with the Daniel James Seavey.
I sighed as my feet carried me over the street to a bench. I sat on it and rested my face into my hands and just let out my emotion.
I didn't really look at how busy the street was, I guess I just decided to sit and cry, to let it all out. It's better then keeping it all in..
"Hey, are you alright?"
An unfamiliar voice settled itself next to me in the bench. I could tell by the deepness in the voice it was a man.I looked up and sure enough it was. Through the tears I saw a man around 23, his dark brown eyes looked at my own bright green eyes and his hair was neatly trimmed at the sides.
I nodded and wiped my tears.
"Yea, I'll be fine"..-sksks maybe that man has some involvement in this story. Who knows, we will just have to see...
