Mckenzie's pov
It had been about an hour since all three of us, our family, had walked downstairs.
Olivia kept asking multiple questions on her dad and kept saying how he was the best.
It was so cute and overwhelming that I teared up, i know it seems pathetic but life being a single mother is extremely hard.
We three all walked downstairs to jack and zach sitting on the sofa playing fifa 20 whilst maddie *ugh* sat opposite both of them.
I sat next to *ugh* maddie and so did daniel, both of us on opposite sides of her . Olivia sat on my knee whilst she watched jack and zach play.
"Will you hurry up and turn that stupid game off!!" Maddie yelled at zach and jack. Zach in particular.
Zach and jack exchanged looks and turned it off only to put on a movie on Netflix.
"Sheesh someone's angry," Olivia semi-whispered in my ear and we all laughed. All apart from maddie who flared at me and my poor 4 year old via.

It was about 6:30 when the film had stopped playing and I looked down to see Olivia flat out asleep on my chest.
I looked over to see Daniel and maddie. She was leaving over to Daniel who was just sitting there like she wasn't a thing. She had her arm over his shoulder bringing him closer but he didn't really do anything.
Still, it hurt.
"Uh- I should probably go..," I spoke lifting up via from my knee and holding her up.
Jack and zach we asleep and so it was only me Daniel and maddie awake making me, the third wheel.
"Oh, why?" Daniel asked sadly.
"Um via has school tomorrow, till Friday," I said pushing some of the hair from her forehead behind her ear and holding her higher.
"And I have work," I spoke.
"Want a lift?" Daniel asked lifting up partially.
"I think I will be okay thankyou though".
"McKenzie it's autumn and cold, and dark on top of that, I am giving u a lift home whether you like it or not," Daniel said as a command.
"Uh she said no Dani you can stay with me," maddie said smiling greedily.
I rolled my eyes feeling deeply sick and so did daniel standing up and lifting maddie off him to put her on the other side of the couch.
"I'll be back home soon," Daniel said glancing over to maddie.

Third person pov
The family walked outside and sat in the freezing car. Daniel has been right and the outside world was pitch black.
Daniel helped McKenzie get in the car by lifting Olivia before he sat in the driving seat himself.
They drove with light talk to not wake olivia up On the way to her devastatingly bad apartment.
McKenzie got out the car and carried her daughter into the apartment complex.
Daniel waited outside the complex making sure that his family got inside safely. It was when they reached it that he beeped and left the family there which could be one of the worst decisions made...
