Marrying Lalisa Manoban

Chapter 5

Jennie POV

I entered Manoban Corporation Building together with Patty. And because I'm with the big boss assistant I didn't need to go to the receptionist, I just went to the elevator going to the big boss office.

I saw Patty press the 60th floor.

So, the big boss building is in the top floor. Living up to her image, huh? High and mighty. But will see if she can keep up with me.

After a minute or two, we reached our destination. She gesture me to go out first then we walked together going to the CEO's office.

I walked with confidence, not minding a few employees who glance at me with obvious admiration in their eyes.

Patty stop in front of a door on the other side of the hallway. I was behind her when she gently knocked on the door. She knocked three times but no one is opening, she glare at me for a sec.

"Do you mind waiting here for a sec Miss Kim? I'll just checked if the big boss is inside?" Patty asked.

I frowned but I immediately nodded to her.

"Go ahead, check your boss."

She quickly went inside the office while I'm waiting outside.

Why do I need to wait outside if we can both go together to checked if her boss is here or not? Hmmm, I can smell something fishy.

It didn't takes a few minutes when the door opened and the smiling face of Patty greeted me.

"You can come in now Miss Kim. The big boss is waiting for you."

I rolled my eyes ceilingward. "Finally."

Patty opened the door widely and entered quickly not minding her.

When I entered the office, one beautiful girl quickly walked to the exit door, irritation is written all over her face not minding our shoulders that bumped together. But I recognized her as the girl who fetched the mysterious stranger from the airport,who was unfortunately Lalisa Manoban as well.

That's why she cannot even opened her door because she's busy... she's busy on something else. And I thought that they have strictly only business policy here, more that that she dealt it somewhere else? But it seems Miss-Snow-White is an exemption to her rules.

I smirk then walk my way inside.

When I already inside the office, Patty quickly when outside the office.

Inside is a typical CEO's office, there's an executive table and chair. In one corner is an expensive couch,mainly for visitors. On the floor is a grayish wall to wall carpet that almost made my feet sink in softness. There's a painting hung on the other side. Contrast to it's owner the whole place is quite cozy.

My eyes roamed around to search for Lalisa Manoban but she's nowhere to be found. Then my eye laid on the framed photograph on her table. Picture of a smiling girl. The girl is definitely beautiful. I wonder what is her relation to Lalisa Manoban.

Another girlfriend maybe...? Because I'm pretty sure that this girl is different from Miss-Snow-White. How many girlfriends does she have anyway?

I was busy with my own thoughts when I heard someone talked from behind.

"What brought you here Miss Kim?"

I got a little bit shocked when I heard a voice but I quickly gaze at her.

My face hardened when I saw Lalisa Manoban walking her way to her table, looking like a shrewd businesswoman as it is in her business attire.
