Part 12

Danny shook his head as he spoke softly, "you have nothing to be sorry for baby" he started, his fingers still running mindlessly through Ben's hair. He took a few deep breaths as he composed himself, keeping his eyes locked on his hits bands. "And why would I ever hate you, love?" He asked, noticing the quiver of his lips. "Do you even remember what happened?"

Sam nodded, sucking his bottom lip into his mouth. He slowly got to his feet, eyes looking back in Jakes room before turning to face Cameron, arms coming to wrap around his waist slowly. "I can't help but be worried about you" he admitted, resting his face against jus chest. "I know, I don't wanna leave him either." He added, finally meeting Cameron's eyes "as soon as Andy and them get here, you're getting looked at.....I wonder how Ben is" he said as he glanced down the hall toward Ben's room.

Matt's arms wrapped around Andy, pulling him close. He knew Andy was trying to stay calm for the others, but also knew this was killing him. "It's okay, baby. I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. I promise you'll all get through this" Ashley's knees felt weak and he felt like he might fall, and he probably would have if it hadn't been for Adam. He shook his head, eyes slipping closed as tears streamed down his cheeks. CC nodded, as he gave Aaron's hand a squeeze before heading back inside. He raised an eyebrow, and panic set in when he saw Andy and Ashley. "What's wrong?!"

Ben shook his head slightly, but the movement was brought to a forceful stop when the room seemed to spin around him when he did so. "No, I don't remember anything, but I'm sure it was something stupid on my behalf," he reasoned, shrugging a little. He wasn't at all immune to stupidity, especially when alcohol was involved, and what with his lack of memory of the situation, it was the only logical explanation.

James leaned his forehead against the glass, pressing his palm against it while he watched the scene unfold, the shard of glass still in his neck to keep him from bleeding out. Closing his eyes slowly, he said another prayer, pleading with the god that he was so sure had done so much for him to save Jake at any cost. Cameron nodded slightly, pressing a kiss to Sam's forehead. "You need to let them see you, though." He nodded slightly before pressing a kiss against Sam's forehead gently. He looked back at the mention of Ben, shuffling them toward the room slowly.

Andy leaned against Matt for physical support, but the weight of his arms around him, coupled with his words, helped in keeping him calmer. Closing his eyes slowly, he moved his arms up and around Matt's neck, pressing his face to his shoulder while he nodded slightly. Adam felt the sudden shift of weight from beneath Ashley, and he helped him stay upright, moving his hand from Ashley's to wrap around his waist tightly. Aaron traced his thumb slowly over the back of CC's hand while he followed him inside, stopping in his tracks. Jinxx stood by the door, his hands covering his faces hill he rubbed over it quickly, diverting his eyes to the floor. "Glass punctured his carotid artery," he explained, not really wanting to make Andy say it again.

Danny offered a small smile as he shook his head. "Believe it or not, baby this wasn't any of our fault." He stopped suddenly, unsure if he should be telling Ben too many details now, given the fact he'd just woke up. "We were in an accident, love. But, we're all going to be okay. I promise" his words trailed off as he thought about Jake. Not wanting to upset Ben more than need be he decided to end the conversation there. He got up from his seat, carefully climbing in the bed next to him, positioning himself perfectly against him.

The doctors and nurses soon exited the room, leaving only one nurse inside. One of the doctors stopped when they noticed James, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You can go in if you'd like" he said softly. Sam's arm slipped around Cameron's waist and he nodded as they headed to Ben's room. Stopping just outside the door, a smile slowly graced his lips when he noticed Ben seemed to be awake. "He's awake"

Matt sighed softly as he ran his fingers through Andy's hair, he glanced around the room before speaking softly "we should probably get going now" Ashley took in a shaky breath as he tried to compose himself. He felt like he would lose it at any moment and that was the last thing he wanted to do. CC's eyes closed for a split second, shaking his head to stop the tears that threatened to spill at any moment. He bit at his lip nervously before placing a comforting hand on Jinxx's shoulder. He knew if they were going to make it, they had to make it together.

While Ben was thankful to know that it wasn't something stupid on their part, he was immediately concerned about everyone else. Looking around a little frantically until he felt dizzy. Leaning back against the bed, he looked at Danny for answers. "Are you sure? Where is everyone?" he questioned, closing his eyes slowly while he started to get sleepy again.
