Chapter 2: Feeling Alone

Erin's POV

Andrew and Adam ended up staying for a week since it's such a long trip home for them. No point in only staying a couple hours I guess.

It's been 2 months since mum died.. I try not to think about it, but it doesn't work.. nothing really works anymore..

"Erin.." I heard Adam say

"Yeah? what's up?" I tried to say without shaking my voice

"I know you.. I know that you're still hurting... and I'm sorry.." he looked at me

I was sitting in the window.. looking out at the world

"I am, hurting. I can't help it. I'd rather hurt than feel nothing at all, honestly." I said

"I'm here for you, just owl me whenever." He hugged me from behind

"Thank you.." I turned around and hugged him back, "Thanks for actually showing emotion around me, after all these years." I chuckled

He laughed and we both let go

"I'll see you when the school year starts back up." He smiled

"See you then.." I said

He then left, I was left with my thoughts and stuff.. alone.. I hated being alone, I always feel like it too. Even when people are around me, I feel so alone.. Not the best feeling in the world..

I miss Severus.. I miss feeling his kiss against my lips.. him holding me... I knew he was mad about Draco... and I regret it.. I really did, but it was because I was sad and... I know it was bad..

I decided to take a nap, it was only 5 in the morning, no one else was up, I knew Remus was tired from taking care of us. Tonks and him were getting married, I didn't want to trouble him at all...

It was 8 Am when I awoke. I went downstairs and Tonks was making breakfast.

"Smells good." I said

She turned around and smiled, "Pancakes and bacon, about the only damn thing I know how to cook."

I chuckled and sat down, soon, Tanner and Harry came racing down the stairs.

"Loser." Tanner said while looking at me

"Says the loser." I laughed

We all ate and went back up to our rooms. I liked having a functional family, it was peaceful and relieving... but I still missed mum. I wonder if we'll stay with Remus until we graduate Hogwarts... or.. hopefully not Jim...

We still needed school stuff for this year, I looked at the list again.
