Chapter 16

??? POV

"Tanner.. what.. what happened?"

"Oh thank god you're awake, you've been here for close to 8 months.. and. And." He started to hyperventilate

"Shhh." I said quietly and hugged him, "It's okay, now. Everything's fine."

He sighed and calmed down, "Erin is okay, she's trying her best to fine us, well me, she doesn't know about you.."

"I've been reaching out.. I figured she would've recognized the voice by now.." I said sadly.

"Professor Snape is trying to find a way to get us out, he said it won't be anytime soon."

"Wonderful." I sighed and laid back down, "Hopefully he comes with a plan sooner."

Erin's POV

"Now, Colin. Just aim at Ron and flick your wand and say 'Expelliarmus!' and that will knock the wand out of his hand." I said to a 4th year.

"What if he deflects it?" He asked

"That's when you get prepared to deflect an attack because he'll want to get you on the ground and dead as quick as he can."

"So I use... Protego?" He asked

"Yes, good job. Ron! Try using some not so powerful spells and Colin with deflect them!" I yelled, and Ron nodded.

I walked over to Hermione who was teaching a 2nd year who wanted to help.

"Who's that?" I asked

"Her name is Alexander, she isn't as strong, but, could you train her? I know you'd be encouraging." She asked

"Of course." I took Hermione's spot and looked at Alexander, "Okay! Alex, you're gonna try disarming me. After you get that, we'll practice you deflecting spells and then attacking."

She nodded and we practiced until Lunch, she was getting better, by time Dinner comes around, she should be fine.

We ate lunch and I took Alex back into the room of requirement. We were the only ones in there because the others wanted to practice outside with supervision from Flitwick and McGonagall.

"Ready, Alexander?" I asked

We were going to act as if we were actually fighting

She nodded and readied her wand

"Go!"

"Expelliarmus!" She yelled

She knocked the wand out of my hands and I did a barrel roll to my wand and picked it up.

I aimed my wand and yelled "Rictusempra!"

"Protego!" She deflected it and shot, "Incarcerous!"

I felt a binding around me and couldn't move.

"Good job, Alex." I chuckled, "You're lucky I taught you that."

She undid the spell and helped me up.

"Thank you." She smiled

"Impressive, Smith." I heard from the door, it was-

"Professor Snape!" Alex said shakily and afraid

"Snape.. how long were you standing there?" I asked

"About 10 minutes." He said monotone, "Alex, it seems your duel is over, you may leave."

She nodded, "Yes Professor." And left.

"You did a good job teaching." He came up to me.

"Well, I learned from only the best." I smiled, a while ago, Snape had taught me Charms and Defensive spells, just because I asked so I could get better.

"Indeed." He smirked

"No need to get cocky," I laughed, "Why were you watching?"

"I wanted to see how well you were teaching, and seeing that you can teach a second year to beat a 6th year, is impressive."

"Thank you, I'm trying my best to protect Hogwarts." I smiled.

"No signs of your brother still.." he sighed

"Seriously? There is 1 month and a half left of school." I said frustrated.

"I'm sorry.. I'm trying my best Smith." He said sympathetically.

"I know.." I walked closer to him and wrapped my arms around his waist, "What if he's gone forever? Or dead?"

He hugged me back, "He isn't, Smith."

"How do you know?" I sniffed and cried

"I don't, but you would have a feeling inside, if he died." He said

"Is that like a Triplet thing?" I asked

"A wizard/witch thing." He chuckled

"You're still keeping your promise, aren't you?" I asked

"Of course.. you made me double promise." He said softly

"I've lost my parents, maybe Tanner, and almost Dumbledore, I can't lose you.. it would kill me." I whispered

"I'm not going anywhere, Smith. I promised." He hugged tighter

We heard the door open and jumped away from each other, I looked to see who walked in.

"George?" I asked and ran over, I hugged him and he kissed me.

"Dumbledore said Fred and I could help train the kids. It'd be easier with a lot more help." He smiled and we stopped hugging

"I missed you, I haven't seen you since New Years."
I smiled

"But we Owl each other all the time." He chuckled

"That's not talking in person though." I said

"True. Hello Professor Snape." George looked over my shoulder and smiled

"Weasley 4." He scoffed

"I'm not your student anymore, you can call me George." He said and laughed.

"No need, it'll only be a month and a half until you leave." He said annoyed

"I'm sure you're counting down the days, Snape." I said

"I am, and they seem to be going slower now that he's actually here." He retorted.

"Right." I chuckled and walked out of the room with George.

We walked around for a while until dinner, then a thought came to my head...

"I don't know what's gonna happen, but I love you, George." I smiled and hugged him.

"What do you mean?" He asked

"If I... die.. because of Voldemort, I want you to know that I love you so much." I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Erin? Why would you say something like that!?" He scoffed and walked off.

"Huh?" I said confused

"Maybe it was best to keep that to yourself, he'll be distracted now that your death is on his mind." I heard Snape from behind me.

"You have to stop that." I said angrily and turned around.

"Of course." He rolled his eyes, "Anyways, you should get ready for dinner.

"Right, Professor."
