Chapter 10

"Draco.. it's okay.. what's happening?" I asked again

"Erin, he needs me to.." he paused for a moment, "He wants me to kill, Dumbledore.." he let out a single tear.

"Draco. You can't do that, that's insane." I whispered angrily.

"I'm trying so hard to avoid it and I can't keep putting it off.." he sighed shakily.

"It's fine, it'll be fine.. just stall and I'll try to figure something out." I said and let go of his hand.

I exited the Great Hall and went to the DADA room.

I swung the door open and look at Snape

"You can't let Draco do that, it's ridiculous." I said sternly

"Smith, it isn't my decision, trust me, I don't want it to happen either." He sighed and got up

"We have to do something," I walked in front of him

"I want to.. but he.. he would try to get into my mind.. and find out." He said quietly

"Resist, we have to do something." I said sadly, "He has been there for when some people haven't.. I don't want to lose him, I lost all 3 of the parents who cared about me.. I can't lose another person.." I started to cry a little

"Smith.. don't cry." He hugged and let go, "I'll do something.. okay?"

"Thank you." I sniffed and hugged him once more, "thank you.." I whispered.

"No.. problem." He hugged back and we both let go.

I looked into his black cold orbs.. and I saw the tiniest light in them.. which made me happy..

"You should, head back and eat, you're losing a lot of weight, Smith." He sighed looking at me

"I've been trying to gain some, I weight 100 pounds, but.. I just haven't had the need to eat." I said weakly

"Smith, that's too light.."

"I know.. stop worrying about me so much." I laughed, "It isn't your problem anymore."

I walked out and smiled to myself.. seeing that light in his eyes.

Snape's POV, the night before he broke up with Erin.

"Ah, Severus." Voldemort said suspiciously, "How has Erin been?"

I froze up and looked at him, "What are you talking about?" I asked

"Erin Smith, Lily's child, you seem to care for her." He smiled evilly

"She's a student, I give her extra lessons so she can get better at what she's wanting to do in the future. She's an insolent child." I said seriously

"If I were to hurt her.. that wouldn't effect you?" He said pulling his wand out.

I thought about every moment with her.. every good moment I've ever had.. when I first fell in love.., "No it wouldn't effect me, sir."

"We need her, it's best not to weaken her. Well, you should return." He dismissed me.

I was walking away and he said something that shocked me, "Severus, if I find out, that you are up to something with that girl, I will do more than hurt her, I'll kill her, because we can't have you weak when you become headmaster after Albus' death." He smiled and I turned away.

"Of course, Dark Lord." I walked out and went back to my quarters.

Erin's POV, present time.

"Draco, I have everything figured out. Snape, he's going to work something out, you just need to be calm whenever you report to him, okay?" I said quietly

"Thank you.. Erin." He smiled and nodded.

I looked up at the Headmasters table and Dumbledore was looking at me.

I think... he knew.. he knows about what Tom was going to make Draco do..

He nodded at me in agreement, Jesus Christ, he was in my mind.

Lunch was over and I headed to McGonagall's class.

I had asked to use the bathroom, and I was walking back but.. I got a sharp headache and fell to the ground grabbing my head.

I heard a voice, a female voice.

"I'm safe, lovelies." Was all I heard before passing out.

Snape's POV

I had walked the halls seeing if any student were roaming around, because I had a feeling.

I saw Ms.Smith grab her head and fall to the ground and pass out.

I ran over to her and shook her

"Erin? Erin? Wake up." I said still shaking her.

This hasn't happened in a while... why's is happening now..

I took her to Pomfrey and waited for her to wake up.

"Professor?" I heard a raspy voice say

Erin's POV

I woke up in the same old place.. a place I knew too well. I looked around and saw Snape laying his head on the side of the bed..

"Professor." I said raspy, "What happened?"

"Smith.. you passed out.. but you heard someone. You grabbed your head.. who did you hear?" He asked

"I don't know.. not Tom.. but a female.. 'I'm safe, lovelies' she reached out to more than one person." I sighed

"Smith.. it could've been anyone, could've been LeStrange playing a trick on you." He grabbed my hand and let go.

"Right.. of course, I won't think anymore of it." I said.. I don't want to know who it was.. because I'll end up getting hurt even more..

"Good. Well, Pomfrey said since this is the first time in a while, take the week off and rest up. I'll get someone to get your assignments for the week." He sighed and got up

"Sev.. Wait." I grabbed his hand before he could walk away.

"Can you bring me the assignments? I don't want anyone hearing of this, please?" I said quietly.

"Of course, I'll be around tomorrow night." He formed a small smile and left.

I let Madam Pomfrey check up on me and she sent me to my room and I fell asleep, I checked the time and it was 3 in the morning. I fell asleep instantly, it felt so good to not be in a hospital bed anymore, I hated the uncomfortable mattresses.

I started to dream of my mom.. We were together and she was reading a bedtime story. I was only 7, happier times when Jim wasn't around much, I hated when he was around to begin with.

My mom.. I missed her, so much..
