Chapter 3: Family

9 1/2 year old Erin's POV

"Erin, they are almost here. Are you excited?" mum asked

"I'm nervous, what if they don't like me?" I asked

"You're their sister, of course they'll like you. When you live with them, they'll probably treat you like one of they boys, rough housing and stuff of the sort." and after she said that, she got sad.. I knew she was going to miss me, of course i'll miss her too, but... it's what's best for me, mum said.

We waited for 20 minutes, then, there was a knock at the door. My mum went to open it, there was Joy and a couple of older boys and... one didn't look my age..

Joy and then walked in, "Tanner, don't be rude.. say hello to your twin.."

One of the boys emerged, he looked older than me, defiantly taller than me.

"Hello, sis." he smiled, when he smiled I felt an instant connection, he did too, we both hugged very tightly. We both laughed and Joy and mum were smiling.

"Do the others know of her.." mum asked

"Everyone but Tanner, neither of them will know until you feel ready to tell them." Joy said

We all talked, I loved my brothers, it was sad to see them leave.

"I'll miss you, Erin." Tanner said

"I'll miss you too, but, we will see each other next time. It'll be worth the wait." I smiled

"Well let's go boys, goodbye Erin, Goodbye Bobbie." She smiles and left with the boys

"That was fun, wasn't it?" mum asked

"Yes, I'm glad I got to meet them." I smiled

"Well good." she smiled back, "Jim will be home soon, you best go get ready for bed."

"Yes, mum." I kissed her cheek and left to get ready for bed

Present Time, Erin's POV, Muggle Hospital

"So, what? Is it broken?" I asked

"Rin, dear, be patient." Remus said

"Yes it is broken, it'll take months to heal. You said you are transferring to a different school? correct?" The doctor asked

"Yes we all three are." I said, but we never told him.. that we are.. going to a different school

"Well," he starts to write on a note and hands it to me, it felt weird when he touched my hand, he was saying in the distant while I was thinking "give this to a doctor at y-"

Then I screamed, "Tom!"

The doctor gave me a look, then he started taking again, "your school, I'm sure they will provide. I will give you crutches free of charge and have a nurse come in and wrap the cast on it."

I held onto my wand, not revealing it but being cautious.

"Have a good day." The doctor said and left

"He's connected to Tom some how, Remus. He.. he knew who we were. We never told him we were going to- It's because," I walked over to Harry and lifted up his hair, revealing his scar, "because of this, Tom knows were here, we need to leave."

"Calm down, we don't know that, we will wait, since you're 17, you can fight back, if necessary. We are staying at the house for now.." Remus said

"Fine." I said letting go of Harry

The nurse walked in and wrapped Tanners foot and gave him the crutches.

We all went home, I couldn't sleep, suddenly there was light tapping on my window.. it was someone's owl... Severus..

I opened the window and let the owl on my arm, I pet it and set it on the bed, gave it some treats.

"Hello, haven't seen you in a while." I said and took the letter off of the owl. It stepped onto my nightstand, sitting down and watching me.

I opened the letter,

Dear Ms. Smith...
I hate to do this, but our relationship is inappropriate and dangerous.
I do not want you to get hurt, I hope you understand, that our relationship needs to end, you're in your 6th year and I am a professor, highly inappropriate. I will not treat you any different in class, but do not have any out bursts about our relationship, I wish not to speak of it during this year. Please do not write back,

I dropped the note in disbelief, I sat on the floor, crying.. heartbreak.. I hated it, the owl watching me

Severus's POV

I watched through my owl.. her reading it, then she dropped the note, and then sat on the floor, crying.

"What are you looking at owl?" she said softly "Don't you have to go back to him? I mean.. I wouldn't, he is an asshole.."

My owl hopped closer to her, then waddled to sit on her lap. She was.. kind

"I shouldn't blame you, it's your job to deliver letters and stuff. You're such a pretty owl.."

I needed him to stay.. make sure she didn't do anything stupid, so I made another letter appear in his feathers

Erin's POV

I saw another letter in his feathers.. I grabbed it and read it.

The owl will be staying with you, comfort.. I am sorry, Smith

I crumpled the letter and threw it across the room.

"Arrogant asshole.. should have never got into another relationship.." I said

I pet the owl, picked him up and I laid in my bed and the owl was next to me...

I should've known.. it wouldn't have lasted forever.. doesn't matter what he said....

I fell asleep crying, I hated doing that, I haven't done it in so long.. not since mum..

I woke up at 6:30, I had to take a shower. The boys always took long showers, had to get their hair just perfect. Stupid.

"Oi, why are you awake so early?" I heard someone from behind me, I turned around and saw... Ivan..

"What the hell, Ivan." I hugged him, and let go

"Miss me? Joy said I could stay here, as long as Remus was okay with it. I got here around 2 Am, sucked but, oh well." he said

"Why.. why are you here?" I asked

"I missed you.. I know you're going through a lot right now.. I will be aiding at the school as well.. so, yeah." he said

"Bull shit, why are you here?" I asked again

"I... I don't know.. something just told me to be here for you... Like something was going to happen to you.." he said

Ivan basically had the gift to tell if something good or bad was going to happen, he doesn't know exactly what it is, but he knows... I guess the whole family kind of has gifts.. in their own special way..

"Well, I've been heart broken. So you came at a good time." I tried to say without my voice cracking

"I'm sorry.." he said.. "I'll kill him if you want?" he chuckles

I smiled, "Thanks, but no.. It was just last night.. I don't know.. part of me still loves him.."

"It'll be okay.. It gets better." He tried to smile

"Go wake up Tann, he needs to wake up." I chuckled

Ivan walked to Tanner's room and I heard a scream. I walked into the bathroom to take a shower..

I realized.. when I was showering.. that I missed Severus more than anything.. I started to cry, then someone knocked on the door.

"Erin! Come on, we're gonna be late. Molly and Tonks will be pissed." Remus yelled

"Okay! Almost done!" I washed the soap off and fixed my hair.. I look at the scissors on the edge of the sink... I.. I..
