G's P.O.V

I hadn't expected that. I stared at her door as she slammed it closed.

Her story didn't add up. Going into a burning house when she knew it was on fire? Obviously there had to have been something in there that she'd forgotten to bring with her. But what could have been so d*** important to go blind over?

I frowned as her door remained closed before I sighed and teleported over to Grillby's.

The light was a warm orange and monsters sat around at surrounding tables. Mostly monsters hung around here, but now and then you'd see a few humans.

Bars were probably the last places left that still had a bit of prejudice, but not because of the owners. Monsters just kinda went to their bars. Where as humans stuck with their bars.

The music in the background was pretty good and as I sat down I spotted the tall fire making his way towards me.

"Sup Grillbs." I smiled and he set down a bottle of whisky. I picked up the bottle with a hum before popping the top.

"New DJ?" I asked, nodding my head towards the DJ booth. He nodded as a customer dropped off a mug at his counter.

Grillby didn't usually go out from behind his counter, he had his customers come over to him for a refill, it was another way to tell if he should cut them off early or not.

That's why I liked sitting right up next to the bar.

As I drank the bottle, I thought back to what that girl had said. Suddenly I wondered more about her.

What was her favorite color? Did she remember colors? What was the last thing she remembered seeing? How did she move around so easily? What was her name?

I paused at that and set down the bottle, by this time it was about half empty, but that wasn't nearly enough to get me drunk.

I didn't know her name. She never told me, of course I'd never really asked, but she knew my name.

"Now that's just unfair." I murmured getting to my feet.

Grillby looked over at me and nodded at the half finished whiskey.

I looked at it before sitting back down.

"I'll see her tomorrow." I mumbled to myself as I took another swig. She didn't like smoke, I doubted she liked alcohol either.
