Lance POV

Life in the village was pretty peaceful. Occasionally, there were large violent storms that shook everyone's houses.
And sometimes we had to move from one location to another until the waves from the violet sea retracted from the walkways.
However, the people were nice and I found a job for myself very quickly.

The aliens that lived here look similar to humans, or well myself, but they had blue skin and naturally silver hair. They looked like what Earth's ocean would be personified.

I was housed with a few other males around my age, and we got along very well. Perhaps too well. I think the elders here were getting sick of the pranks we kept pulling. The traditional bucket over the door annoyed them the most. Apparently they had "never heard of such a disgraceful thing." Their words not mine.

Yet, even though I was having the time of my life splashing in the lilac waves and eating Phifaper bread (the villagers' take on sliced bread), I never let my guard down completely. I wasn't going to let anyone take advantage of me anymore. I knew better. And yet...I had still let it happen once....Never again.

At the moment I was sitting on the edge of a cliff overlooking the planet's ocean, just spacing out.

"Ces!"

I looked up in surprise and turned around to see my new friend, Jami, running towards me with a giant smile on his face.

"Hey Jami." I signed calmly.

"You will never guess who's coming to our village!" He practically screamed, jumping up and down.
I stood up slowly, brushing myself off. "Who?"

"Voltron!"

I stopped. My heart froze. The blood drained from my face.
...Voltron?

"Isn't it great!? The paladins are so cool! I can't wai-"

But Jami's words were drowned out by my panicked thoughts.
What?
Why?
Are they here for me?

"I have to go." I signed frantically before running off.

"Ces? Cessair!" Jami called after me.

I didn't stop. I kept running until I got to the house I was staying in.
I ran up the stairs and slammed my door shut before going into a panic attack.

Keith POV (oof finally)

"Paladins! Meet me in the control room!" Allura's voice blasted through the castle.

"End training!" I called out.

Sighing, I wiped the sweat off my forehead and left the training deck.
I met up with Shiro in the hallway, him coming out of his room. He nodded in acknowledgment towards me.

"Hey." He said.

I hummed in response and followed him into the control room.

Allura smiles at us as we take our places in the room, me leaning against the back wall, and began to speak.

"Good! Now that's everyone is here, I want to inform you that we will be heading to Pondinia! We will be meeting with the village chief to bring them into the Voltron Coalition!"

"Sounds great princess." Shiro said, "When will we arrive?"

"We'll be there in a varga." She replied in her beautiful thick accent.

"Can I leave now then?" I asked.

"Sure Keith." Shiro said.

"Do you want to help me and Hunk in the kitchen? We're trying to bake cookies." Pidge asked me as we walked out of the room.

I perked up slightly. "Sure."
Baking cookies with Hunk always meant raw space mall cookie dough and space chocolate.

*Time Skip brought by 6 year old Shiro*

We landed on Pondinia and quickly went to greet the inhabitants.
"Welcome Paladins of Voltron!" The village chief greeted us.

"Thank you for agreeing to this Wiale!" Allura exclaimed.

The two hugged and began to talk about...whatever she talks about with the leaders we always meet.
My eyes scanned the surroundings.
It looked like Earth. I realized with a pang in my heart.

I shook my head and walked into the sea of Pondinians to greet them.
I took a moment to look over their physical appearances.
They had blue skin and silver hair, but other then that looked pretty much human.
One of them walked up to me, his hand extended.
"Hi! I'm Jami!" He said.

"Keith." I replied, taking his hand and shaking it.

"I can't believe you're really here! It's really great!"

"Um..thanks." I felt a little overwhelmed.

"No problem! You know, you really look like my friend Cessair. Ok well, not exactly, but he is human. Are you human? Of course you are. That was a dumb question-"

"Wait what?" I interrupted his fast ramble.
Another human? But how?

"Hm?" Jami responded.

"There's another human here?" I asked, raising my head to look around the crowd.

"Yeah, but you won't find him here. I'm actually kind of worried about him. Haven't seen him in a day or two. Why? Do you want to go and try to find him?"

I scratched the back of my head and thought for a second.
I don't know this guy very well. But...there's another human here. How did he even get this far out here from Earth without Voltron? No human vessel can get this far!
Finally, I looked at Jami.
"Sure."
