Keith POV

I followed the smaller male to the edge of a cliff where we found a another male just standing there with his arms stretched out on either side of him.

"Is he going to jump!?" I whispered frantically to my companion.

He smiled sadly up at me. "No. He won't." He looked back at the man, "I thought so at first too. I was scared right out of my mind. It was only after a week or two of him arriving here. I thought I had failed him. Obviously, I was wrong."

I hummed softly in reply. I myself looked at the male. "What is he doing then?"

"Watch."

So I did, my eyes widening as he began to dance so gracefully, it looked like the waves in the distance were moving with him.
Wait...
They were moving along with him. This boy was controlling the purple waters. To say I was confused and shocked was an understatement.

Suddenly, I heard a loud growl come from the castle. It didn't sound like an angry growl.

No, it was a needy growl.

I watched incredulously as Blue flew speedily out of her hanger and towards us.

I watched as she landed on the cliff behind the male and as he jumped and yelled in, not surprise, but fear.

I watched as the boy stumbled backwards and fall off the edge, splashing into the waves below.

As Jami ran towards him, screaming

"Cessair!".

I watched it all happen.

I just watched.

Lance POV

According to Jami, today had been the day Voltron had visited the village.
So I distanced myself from everyone else. But of course, that wasn't enough. Why couldn't anything just go right?

Falling off the edge of that cliff just felt...right.
No blue lion of Voltron could get me in my safe haven that was the violet sea.

Or so I thought.

As I safely landed in the waves below me, I closed my eyes and breathed in the cold water.

I had found out I could breathe underwater the moment I had stupidly spent too long underneath the waves playing games with the village children.

I had no clue as to how the witch never found out about it.

I opened my eyes and screamed out of terror.

Two golden eyes were staring straight into my soul, their mechanical body towering over me.
I desperately tried to swim as fast as I could away from it.

But even though I was a VERY fast swimmer, I couldn't get away from it.

It opened its large mouth behind me, and I curled into myself, squeezing my eyes shut tight.

I was propelled backwards into a chair and I quickly scrambled out of it. My back hit the wall and I slid down it, breathing heavily and shaking like crazy.

Fuck.

Well, this was it. I was going to be taken back to Voltron and I would be back were I was at square one.

Abused. Tortured. Yelled at. Overworked. Beaten. Depressed. Loud voices in my head, telling me that I was worth nothing.

Never mind. The voices were already back.

God you're so pathetic.

I chuckled through my tears. I already knew that.

No.

I sat up super straight.

Who the hell was that?

Cub..you are anything but pathetic.

I see. So it was the lion. Why was it reading my thoughts anyways?

I sighed loudly and tried to calm my beating heart. I got up and sat in the, what I assumed was the pilot's, chair.

I stared out the large window as we approached the castle Voltron had obviously arrived in. It was already in space after all the time I had been in here.

My heart began to pick up speed again.

No! You need to be brave and accept your death now!

I inhaled deeply and relaxed. Might as well accept it.

They won't hurt you Cub.

The lion spoke again, this time sending something along with her message. I couldn't really place what it was. It was really comforting though.

The lion landed in its hanger and opened its mouth for me to walk out of. I froze as I came face to face with the team of paladins themselves, as well as two aliens which I identified as Alteans.

A-Alteans!? I thought in shock. I couldn't believe some had survived outside of Lotor's help.

Wait...is that the princess!? Princess Allura?

"Princess." I signed kneeling down, "It is an honor to meet you."

She looked at me with surprise.

"Oh! Please stand!" She said in her accent, smiling. "I appreciate it. May I ask who you might be?"

I gulped hard. "My name is Cessair." I replied nervously, my eyes flitting around to look at each paladin.

Are they...human? How?

"It is quite nice to meet you Cessair." The princess said, drawing my attention back to her.
I hummed respectfully in response.

"Now tell me...how were you in the blue lion?"
