Lance POV

I stretched my legs out in front of me uncomfortably. At the moment, I was in a cell. (A/N like the one Lotor was in except against the wall with a window)
Why?

After Princess Allura had asked me how I was in the blue lion, I had...well, I passed out.
I was so nervous and scared of what they would do I guess my body just gave up.

When I woke up from inside the healing pod, they sat me down and tried to talk to me again, but the red one kept glaring at me so I got scared again and refused to answer.

Wow, I really am pathetic. Afraid of everything. That's Lance for you.

I pulled my knees up to my chest and buried my head between them. I felt a few silent tears run down my face. They were going to kill me weren't they?
I wiped my face and stared out the cell window, watching the swirls of pinks, purples, and blues fade past.
How long had I been here?

"Hey."

I jumped at the sudden voice. I glanced over at my visitor.

Red...

I tensed as my eyes traveled up to his violet eyes. I flinched as we made eye contact and quickly looked away.

What does he want?

I heard the typing of numbers before the cell door swung open.

"Let's go. Shiro wants to talk to you." His rough voice rang out.
Shiro?
Seeing my confusion, he quickly clarified.

"Our leader."

I made an O motion with my mouth, but no sound came out, of course.

I stood up and followed him out. He pulled out a pair of handcuffs and latched them onto my wrists. He glanced up at me as he locked them.

"Just to be safe." He said.

I just nodded. It made sense. Why would the paladins trust someone who just randomly flew in with the blue lion and then refuse to talk to them? I know I wouldn't.

Red practically dragged me down to the main control room where I was originally brought for my first questioning.

In the center of the room stood the Princess and Coran.

I had met Coran when he brought me my meals. He was a very sweet man, and I loved listening to his stories. He never questioned why I never spoke, or signed, back to him so that was nice too.

"Cessair! So nice to see you again!" Coran spoke loudly as Red and I entered, gathering the other paladins' attention towards us.

A very small and soft smile graced my lips at his greeting, but it was quickly dashed away at the sight of the headset in his hands. My eyes grew wide with fear and I stopped quickly in my tracks, just staring at it.

The leader, as I now knew as Shiro, noticed this and put a comforting hand on my shoulder. I looked over at him and my eyes asked why he would allow them to do this.

"It's just so we can know you better without you having to tell us yourself." He responded whilst removing the handcuffs from my wrists, "These weren't necessary, Keith." He said glancing at Red and holding them up.

Ah. So his name is Keith.

Shiro led me over to a chair and Coran followed smoothly behind him, headset in hand. I whimpered softly as they placed the blue and white crown on my head. Shiro held onto my arm in a fatherly fashion, trying to assure me that it was alright.

It went dark very quickly.
