Nalia's POV "Child I need to speak to you it's very important" I heard Granny's voiced out.
"What's up Grams" I sat with her on the couch.
"After your graduation, I'll be going on a 6-month long international cruise." My smile faded.
"Remember it was started in your Grandpa's will" I felt sad because I knew it's was true even though I wanted to deny it.
"B-But I don't want you to go, who will take care of me now and who will I run to when it gets hard for me?" I burst into tears Granny pulls me to her side bringing me into a gentle embrace.
"There there child it's going to be alright" She coos at me.
I pulled back from the soft embrace.
"Granny can I come with you please?" She just smiled sadly because I knew it was a big no.
"Child, you can't come with me because you have to take over the company and maybe you know... with Elijah" I just rolled my eyes knowing that she's right but not about the shagging part.
"Whatever, but when are you leaving?" I asked while fiddling with the hem of my sweater.
"Two Days after you graduate" She answered in a solemn manner.
"I already arranged for you to live somewhere else in the city and it's very close to where the company is, because I know you wouldn't want to be alone in a big house such as this" Oh she knows me so well I've always wanted a penthouse to myself, that overlooks the all of New York City.
I clapped my hands together startling Granny a little.
"We still have a few more days together so let's do something fun for the rest of our days together" Granny was shocked by my change of demeanor and she broke me a small smile.
"Yes yes we should what do you want to do or where should we go to?" She asks me sweetly.
"First, let's go to China town and pig out on the delicious foods" I pull her up from the couch pushing her upstairs.
"Now go get your purse and phone so we can go" She went up and got her things coming back minutes later.
I hooked our arms together as we strolled out of the house to the driveway.
"Off we go" she squeezed my cheek muttering 'you're so cute' with a loving kiss on my now aching cheek.
We got inside her Range Rover and grooved out to the City.
