Elijah's POV Every day has been wonderful ever since I met Lia, even the mention of her name does things to me, I can't wait to make her my girl.
I've been asking her on countless dates and buying her gifts but she's so stubborn and persistent.
She always sends back the flowers, chocolates but never the food that I always buy for her.
2 days ago I came across a necklace that seems to say everything about my situation with Lia.
I didn't waste any time and bought it along with a cheesy note placed inside the box, that will be her graduation gift.
I'm currently in my bedroom trying to find the perfect outfit to make my sweet girl drool.
Today is her graduation and I'm going to take out for dinner to celebrate her graduation.
I already asked Mrs. Chen's permission and blessings to date Nalia and she replied 'Go ahead young man I know that my granddaughter already has a crush on you. BUT if you hurt or break her heart, you will not see the light of the next day' Those were her words, not mine.
To be honest I was sort of intimidated by the tiny older woman and I am not planning on breaking Lia's heart because she's my forever even though she doesn't know it yet.
Time Skip...
I'm currently at Lia's graduation, she has no idea I'm here, Mrs. Chen saw me already but told me to seat in a secluded area where Lia wouldn't notice me when she climbs on stage.
After a few names were called Lia shook the hands of the important individuals on the stage then sauntered off to where Mrs. Chen sat.
Linking the arms of the older woman as they walked out of the Auditorium and I followed after.
"Lia! Lia wait up!" She froze and Mrs. Chen slowly pulls her arm from her slightly backing away.
Lia turned around shock was evident in her features. She looks at Mrs.Chen raising a perfectly arched brow.
"Granny, what's Elijah doing here?" She accusingly questioned calmly.
"I invited him" Mrs.Chen reply back coolly with a shrug.
"Why?" Lia questioned again her nose flaring in anger before an argument broke out I interrupted them.
"I'm sorry that I didn't ask for your permission to come, I just wanted to congratulate you and hopefully get to know you better if possible" I inhaled sharply rubbing the back of my neck before continuing.
"So you could see that I'm worth your time and affection and also to give you this" I pulled out two boxes from my suit jacket.
I slowly walked up to her and gently grab her right hand and placed the bracelet on her wrist.
"This bracelet could hopefully make you change your mind about me so you finally accept to go on a date with me" Lia looks at the bracelet with a slight smile on her glossy lips.
I took out the other box and opened it and her smile got bigger. "And this necklace tells everything I want to say to you" Lia looks at me with an unreadable expression on her face.
"Thank you so much for the thoughtful gifts Elijah and yes I will go on a date with you," She says grinning cutely.
My eyes widen in awe "R-Really? This is not a joke right?" I ask her unsure and Lia shakes her head side to side indicating she's not playing with me.
I pick her up spinning her around and hearing her sweet giggles "Okay, you can put me down now" I obeyed and held her face.
She turns her back to me and I was confused for a sec "What are you waiting for put it on me" She moved her hair away from her neck 'Damn she smells good' I turn her around after clasping the necklace on her neck.
Turning her around to face me, I started learning to kiss her lips that seemed to be awaiting mine.
Then a cough interrupted the special moment "Umm, I'm still here" Mrs. Chen says waving her hands.
Lia and I looked down biting our lips in embarrassment. I honestly forgot about her presence.
"It's ok you two love birds," Mrs. Chen says walking towards us.
"I'm going home to pack for the cruise" She hugs Lia then pulls back.
"And this young man already asked my permission to take you out to celebrate" She pointed at me.
"Is that ok with you child?" Lia nods her head
"Goodbye see you later" Mrs. Chen hugs both of us walking off to her car. I turned around and held Lia's hand "So about that date, huh?" I ask lifting her right hand kissing the back of it.
