     Nalia's POV
"It was like watching a soap opera. I've never seen a real-life soap and a super dramatic one at that" Logan gushed making me laugh at her comment.

"Logan, stop it, I need to work" I scold my new friend.

Logan raised her hand in surrender
"Sorry Love, I'll try not to distract you too much..." She mumbled the last part to herself and I heard it.

I glared at the tatted woman in return.

She looked away using her phone to avoid the mean glower that was being shot her way.

I shook her head side to side smiling to herself before focusing on the important documents in front of me

A week passed, Logan went back to London because she's a business owner and the boss can't be far away for too long.

Diamond's work evaluation was really bad, a few complaints from coworkers about her disrespectful behavior towards others and then went on to announce that she's the CEO's sister.

She and I really need to have a talk because this ain't it.

Right now, Elijah and I are inside his car going to go pick up Granny and Eric from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal.

The cruise ship just arrived an hour ago.

"Love, are you alright?" He asked placing his free hand on my fidgety thigh.

"Hmm yeah, why'd you ask?" I asked him before we stop for the red light.

Elijah turned his head to me for a sec before switching his gaze back on the road.

"Really because you kept biting your nails and your leg was twitching" He said with a knowing smirk on that handsome face of his.

"Tell me what's wrong" He lifted my left hand to his lips placing a soft kiss on it.

"I'm just nervous about the news granny told me she wants to tell me when she called last week" I look down on the carpeted floor of his BMW.

"You haven't heard what she has to say yet, everything will be alright" I turned my head pecking his cheek just when the green light appeared.

Soon we arrived at the harbor and I called Granny because I can't see her from the crowded view.

She picked up at the second ring.

"Hi my love, Eric and I are standing by the Hot-Dog stand" She informs.

I intertwined Elijah's hand with mine as I pulled him with me through the crowds searching for where granny said she's located at.

5 minutes after roaming my eyes around the expansive harbor, she failed to tell me a specific hot dog stand since there were multiples here.

Soon, I saw Granny waving both her arms crazily in the air shouting my name.

'Is she trying to let everyone know my name? I swear it only her' I smiled at the thought.

I let go Elijah's hand running to granny who had her arms wide opened.

When I reach her in arms length, I leaped on her body wrapping my arms around her neck and my legs around her waist.

"Damn, Granny you strong as hell!" I exclaimed with a giggle.

She swatted my bottom "Stop with the bad word" She says reprimanding me and I rolled my eyes.

I slowly unwrapped my legs from her waist placing my feet on the ground.

"Granny, why are you scolding me seeing me after months?" I glared at her and she just laughed pulling me back in for a hug.

"You have no idea how much I missed you and that sassy mouth of yours child" I laugh patting her back.

"Adorable" I heard Elijah say from behind us.

I let go of my grip on granny turning around to hug Eric.

"Hi Eric" He pats my back saying.

"Hello Princess" I have him a fake dirty look.

Eric and I have gotten closer through the countless Skype sessions and the multiple deaths threats I told him if ever hurt my Granny.

He seems to have good intentions with my granny and he sincerely like-love her, I don't know.

"I thought I told you not to ever call me that, I ain't no damn princess" I felt a smack on the back of my head again.

I turn to her with a scowl of my face.

"Granny stop abusing me! It hurts" I whined stomping my foot on the ground like a little child.

"Whatever, let's get going" She said with an eye roll.

Elijah picked up his godfather's luggage and I picked up my Granny's holding her hand in mine swinging it back and forth.

He opened the car trunk loading all the bags inside the trunk.

The guys sat in the front and we girls sat in the backseats chatting the whole car ride.

I went on google maps typing in granny's home address in Long Island and we began our hour long journey.

An hour later, Elijah pull into the driveway.

He popped open the trunk emptying the contents out of it.

Granny and Eric already went inside the house.

I wheeled their suitcases from the red brick driveway and into the wooden floors of the house.

"I think I'm ready to tell her" I heard Granny whispering.

"Are you sure darling?" Eric asked her.
'Why are the speaking in hushed tones' I asked myself.

I made my way into the kitchen where they sat on the barstools behind the kitchen island.

"What are you guys talking about and tell me what?" I asked them just when I felt Elijah's arms touch my shoulders with his chin on the top of my head.

Granny got off the barstool walking towards me.

"Wait, why do you have a gigantic rock on your finger? That wasn't there before" I asked grabbing her left hand staring at the huge diamond wrapped around her ring finger.

"Eric and I are getting married"Granny held my hand in hers squeezing it tightly.

"What!?" I screamed in shock.
