Chelsea's POV

"Like I said." I shrug with a warm smile. "I don't like to judge people. It's just--I don't know, it's just not 'in' me, I guess. I didn't get to know you because you're a Hybrid, Klaus, or because of this 'weird connection' that I feel with you. I got to know you because I refuse to judge you, or anyone, for that matter, and I happen to really 'like' you. I got to know you because I 'wanted' to get to know you. Besides, there's always a reason behind everything, even if people don't realize it. And it's not what you've done that defines who you are, it's 'why' you've done the things you've done, that defines who you are..."

He takes a sharp breath, his mouth open appearing to want to ask so many questions, but his mind seems to be running too wildly to be able to speak at all.

"The fact you're a Hybrid's just a bonus," I smirk, hoping to ease his mind. He lets out a small, breathy laugh. His eyes lift to meet mine again and a warm smile grows on his face, his eyes squinting as they search mine.

The way he looks at me make my heart flutter like no one else can make it flutter.
No ones ever looked at me the way that Klaus looks at me.
He makes me feel so warm, so special.
And right now, it looks like what I said to him, seems to mean a lot to him...

He's so perfect.
Everything about him is just perfect.
His eyes, his voice, his smile, his laugh...

I can't get over the fact that I'm actually 'talking' to him.
I'm talking to 'Klaus Mikaelson.'
And I can't believe that he's looking at me the way he is.
I feel like the luckiest girl in the entire world.
I 'am' the luckiest girl in the entire world right now...

I've always believed that eyes are the windows to someone's soul, and his eyes have shown me more than enough...

Everything I've ever heard about him just seems so untrue

Everything I've ever heard about him just seems so untrue.
I know somehow deep down inside me, that everything he's ever done has been for valid reasons.
I just know it.

He's not like people think he is, and the thing that hurts me is that it seems like 'he' thinks he's more of a monster than anyone else does...

"Thank you, Klaus. For telling me who you are, it didn't look like it was easy for you."

He glances down, his brows furrowing harshly, as though he's starting to wonder if all of this is an act and that after I leave here I'll never speak to him again. Without thinking I reach my hand across the table, meeting his own. I take hold of his hand, my thumb gently gliding back and forth over it.

His eyes widen as he looks at my hand touching his own, as though no ones ever touched him like this before. His eyes finally lift to meet mine, filled with surprise and disbelief.
