Klaus' POV
It's her again; The girl of my dreams.
Literally.I've dreamt about this girl for over a thousand years.
The same girl that's haunted my dreams for as long as I can remember.Beautiful honey-brown eyes, long silky brown hair.
A beautiful smile that could thaw the coldest and darkest of hearts.
Beautiful beyond comprehension.Who is this girl?
Why do I keep dreaming of her?
Why have I dreamt about her so many times in the last thousand years and yet, I have no idea who she is, or where she's supposed to stem from?Could someone really be as beautiful as she?
"Oh, that's right Klaus, she's in your 'dreams." I sigh.
I hear low footsteps heading towards my bedroom, I can tell it's Elijah by the way he moves so swiftly and silently.
I continue working on my painting, hoping to ignore him as he enters my bedroom and heads over to the doorway of my art room.
I'm just not in the mood this morning.
I've been dreaming about this girl so much in the last thousand years, but the last few weeks it's been every single night.
And every time I wake up, I'm in a foul mood.I don't know why, but I find myself wishing that the girl in my dreams, is real.
I've never wanted anything more, for some reason.
So when I wake up, it only leaves me feeling more lonely, angry and saddened."Morning brother." Elijah beams. I roll my eyes at his cheerfulness. "You were up early this morning. I suppose it's safe to say you were dreaming about the girl, again?"
I turn to look at him to see his smirk, which only makes me all the more agitated and annoyed.
I don't know why Elijah seems to find the fact I dream about this girl, so amusing.
I'm in a bad mood as it is, without him making a joke out of it.I sigh, frustrated by his mocking tone.
It's like he gets some sort of 'kick' out of me dreaming about this girl.
Every time he mentions it, I wish I'd never bloody told him in the first place.Perhaps it's because my heart is so dark and cold, he seems to find it amusing that I could still appreciate dream with a beautiful girl.
"Sod off, Elijah. I'm not in the mood." I scowl, letting my anger help me with my painting.
"Oh Niklaus is there ever a day you 'are' in the mood." He taunts dryly, fiddling with something on the desk behind me.
Elijah, my brother, thinks he knows everything; Always finds himself amusing.
"Oh come, Niklaus, you can't expect to open up to me about all of this, and not expect any questions."
"Oh, it was a 'question." I snipe. "Here I was, thinking you were 'amused' by the fact I'm haunted every time I close my eyes."
"I find it all a little amusing, yes. But you have to understand it's only that I'm so surprised to hear that you actually dream about her."
"I told you about this, in 'confidence,' Elijah. Because you kept 'pestering' me and I thought you might be able to help. All you've done since you found out is 'taunt' me. So now 'you' can't expect me to tell you anything, ever again."
