Training Room

Goodwin sits in the dark, with only a candle next to him. He meditates and chants one line.

Goodwin: Inner peace, inner peace.

His ear twitches but he thinks nothing of it.

Goodwin: Inner, in-in-inner peace.

His ear twitches again.

Goodwin: Would whoever is making that flapping sound quiet down!?

He stops and hears nothing so he goes back to chanting.

Goodwin: Inner-

But he's interrupted when a duck crash-lands behind him. He turns around and smiles seeing the familiar cardinal.

Goodwin: Oh, Lazar. Excellent. I could use some good news right now.

His words make Lazar freeze.

Peach Tree Hill

Goodwin: (running up the steps) Master! Master!

Tzolkin is standing next to the tree, going through a Kung Fu stance until he gets interrupted.

Goodwin: I have...its very bad news!

Tzolkin: Ah, Goodwin. There is just news, there is no good or bad.

Goodwin: Master, your vision! Your vision was right! Netherton has broken out of prison! He's on his way!

That makes Tzolkin stop.

Tzolkin: That IS bad news...if you do not believe that the Dragon Warrior cannot stop him.

Goodwin: (eye twitching) The copy tiger? Master, that tiger boy is not the Dragon Warrior! He wasn't even meant to be here! It was an accident!

Tzolkin: There are no accidents.

Goodwin: (sighing) Yes I know. You said that already. Twice.

Oogway: (chuckling) Well, that was no accident, either.

Goodwin: Thrice.

Tzolkin: My old friend, the tiger will never fulfill his destiny, nor you yours, until you let go of the illusion of control.

Goodwin: Illusion?

Tzolkin: Yes. Look at this tree, Goodwin. (indicating to the tree next to them) I cannot make it blossom, when it suits me, nor make it bear fruit before its time.

Goodwin: Yes, but there are things we can control.

Goodwin kicks the tree, making multiple peaches fall down.

Goodwin: I can control when the fruit will fall.

One peach then fell and hit Goodwin's head, causing Tzolkin to chuckle.

Goodwin: And I can control...

He grabs a fallen peach, throws it into the air, and jumps after it. He then slices it in half with a chop and lands.

Goodwin: Where to plant the seed.

He punches a hole in the ground. He quickly grabs the peach seed and throws it into the hole.

Goodwin: That is no illusion, Master.

Tzolkin: Yes. But no matter what you do that seed will grow into a peach tree. You may wish for an apple or an orange, but you will get a peach.

Goodwin: But a peach cannot defeat Netherton!

Tzolkin: Maybe it can.

Tzolkin then bends forward and buries the hole that holds the seed.

Tzolkin: If you are willing to guide it. To nurture it. To believe in it.

Goodwin: But how? How? (sounding almost desperate) I need your help, Master!

Tzolkin: No, you just need to believe. Promise me, Goodwin. Promise me you will believe.

Goodwin: I will try.

Suddenly, sakura petals start to gather.

Tzolkin: Good. (with a smile) My time has come.

Goodwin's eyes widen at this.

Tzolkin: (giving Goodwin his staff) You must continue your journey without me.

Goodwin: What are you...Wait!

Tzolkin walks to the edge of the hill.

Goodwin: Master! You can't leave me!

Tzolkin turns around and bows to Goodwin, with a smile.

Tzolkin: You must believe.

Goodwin: Master!

Tzolkin suddenly starts to turn into sakura petals and follows the wind with Goodwin watching in sadness.
