Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's: Kung Fu Leo

Evacuation

When they get to the bottom of the temple, they see that the entire Valley is nearly in panic. Most of the villagers are already leaving and some are just terrified.

Luna: (leaning against Leo for support) We got to get them out safely.

Her, and the rest of the 5Ds, are still injured from their battle.

Yusei: Come little one. (picking up a baby piglet) Let's find your mother. (running off)

Luna: (turning towards her friends) Akiza, gather the southern villagers. Jack, the north. (they nod and leave as she turns to Crow, giving him the lantern) Crow, light the way.

Leo watches as the Five left, one after the other. He feels terrible, like he failed everybody just by NOT being the Dragon Warrior. He sighs and watches as Luna helps Misty with her family's belongings.

Sitting down, he pulls out the Dragon Scroll and stares at the empty page.

Greiger: (approaching Leo) How are you feeling?

Leo: (without looking away) Awful.

Greiger: (sighing before sitting next to Leo) I'm sorry if things didn't work out. Perhaps it just wasn't meant to be.

Leo: That's what everybody else is saying.

Leo indicates the passing villagers that are pointing and laughing. Neither notice that Luna comes back over and stands near them. It was then that Teuchi had an idea.

Grieger: You know, I remember when we took you in. You were just as depressed as you are now. But when I gave you that small bowl of ramen, it was as if you gained new life. (sees Leo smiling at that) I still remember when you constantly asked what was in the ramen that made it so special. I was going to tell you today because it was your birthday.

Lunas eyes widen at that.

Greiger: But I don't know.

Leo: (chuckling) Might as well.

Greiger: Ok then. The secret ingredient to make my ramen as it is, is (pauses for dramatic effect) Nothing.

Both Leo and Luna look confused.

Leo: What? Nothing?

Greiger: Yep! (with a laugh) Nothing at all! There is no secret ingredient!

Leo: Wait, so it's just regular ramen?

Greiger smacks Leo on the back of his head.

Leo: Ow!

Greiger: Idiot! My ramen is not 'just regular ramen'. My ramen is special because I believe it's special, that's all. By the way, I think your lady friend is here. (then walks away)

Leo: (stands and looks at Luna) I think I get it.

Luna: (clearly confused) What? I still don't understand.

Leo smiles as he looks at the scroll again.

Leo: (seeing his reflection) There is nothing that can make it special, because it is already there.

He then turns and starts running, until Luna stops him.

Luna: Where are you going?

Leo: To stop Netherton. (making her eyes widen) What? (chuckling) I am the Dragon Warrior after all so I might as well.

Luna: (smiling as she looks down) Thank you.

Leo: (smiling back before pulling her into an embrace) I should be thanking you. If it wasn't for you, the 5Ds, or Master Goodwin, then I would never be who I am now and (stopping himself)

Luna: (wanting him to continue) And?

Leo: And, I'm thankful that I met you. (making her eyes widen)

Before Luna could do anything, she freezes when she feels him kiss her cheek.

Leo: Make sure the villagers get away safely. (running up the steps)

All Luna can do is nod dumbly. She shakes her head and smiles, feeling a blush on her cheeks and is thankful that her fur covers it up.

Luna: (whispering) Be careful, Leo.
