What happens when prejudice
Runs too deep for us to fathomWhat happens when the good old days
Fall far into the chasmWhat happens when dystopian stories
Become realityWhat happens when immorality
Becomes immortalityWhat happens when justice
Is broken beyond repairWhat happens when our dreams
All become nightmaresWhat happens when all is lost
But all is foundWhat happens when all our rights
Fade to the backgroundWhat happens when streets are stained
With more than we can seeWhat happens when forests of hope
Leave nothing but a treeWhat happens when we reach the end
And learn we can't fly awayWhat happens when dark is light
And we are forced to stay
