Error slowly regained consciousness, realizing that he fell into a dreamless sleep without nightmares. His entire body was somewhat numb, but he could feel warmth surround him. Error felt something very warm next to his fingertips. Still half asleep, he pulled the warmth closer and curled around it. Error felt like he was snuggling close a teddy bear that fit in his arms. He didn't know where he was, but he tried to enjoy this small amount of comfort as long as possible, fully aware Fate would never allow him such luxury.

Error stayed curled around the bundle of warmth for a few minutes until he felt something shift closer and press lightly against his back. The movement alerted him to complete awareness. As slow as possible, Error shifted to face what was behind him and gasped. There, laying extremely close to him was a very young Sans at the age of eight. The Sans wore a black shirt and basketball short with a white stripe at the side.

Error was starting to think he landed in a new AU. However, there was evidence that this AU was in an earlier point in history than all the timelines in the Multiverse. Most AUs that Ink created usually start at the time the barrier was placed over the Underground. However, in this AU, Error was above ground. The Sans of this AU is a bit older in age than when the barrier was first placed, driving his point even further.

Error was starting to think of the possibilities of Ink making AUs that are more unstable when he felt movement in his arms. Looking down, Error saw he was holding a Papyrus in an orange onesie around the age of five. The Papyrus shifted in Error's arms to lay his head above Error's Soul as he tried to hug as much of Error as his little arms could. If this was any other person, they would have thought this was super adorable. However, this was Error and he was starting to glitch.

Papyrus started to wake up due to the shaking around him. He opened his eye sockets only to be greeted with the sight of the stranger shaking and twitching badly. The other's eye sockets were open and had the same word overlapping multiple times, but what really stood out was the fear and panic on his face. Not really knowing what to do, he started patting the other's face while crying out loudly in hopes of his brother or father helping the stranger. Papyrus was unaware that he was making things worse due to Error's haphephobia, which made error signs pop up and the glitches worsen.

Sans woke up to his younger brother's cries. He turned to see what was wrong and jolted up. The strange kid that their father brought home looked like something bad was happening to him. Sans quickly grabbed his brother, ran out, and rushed into his father's room. There, he jumped on his father, who shot up.

"Sans, what are you-?" Gaster started to say, but was cut off.

"Dad! Something's wrong with that guy you brought home!" Sans cried out. "I woke up to Paps crying, and saw that the guy was shaking violently with these weird error signs over his body and in his eye sockets! Please help him!"

Gaster threw his covers off at that and ran to the guest bedroom to see the same thing Sans had described. However, there was one thing that Sans didn't described, and that was the symbol of a time gear in the young skeleton's left eye socket. Glowing brightly, Gaster saw the time gear create hands. He would have seen more if it wasn't for the kid who covered his eye sockets as he clawed at his head, causing deep chip marks to form on his head.

Gaster heard the kids by the door, but paid them no mind. He quickly moved and grabbed a hold of the kid's arms to stop him from hurting himself further. Instead of the result he was expecting, the kid screeched, grabbed one of Gaster's arms and with surprising strength, threw him to the wall next to the door. Sans and Papyrus quickly scrambled away from the door and hid in their father's room until their father had the situation under control.

Gaster quickly recovered and decided that touching the kid wasn't a good idea with how much strength the young one had. So, Gaster decided to use a more magical approach. Using blue magic, he grabbed a hold of the kids Soul and pulled it out. The kid screamed and Gaster almost gagged at the sight. The kid's Soul was a mangled mess as it looked torn apart and had many scars. It barely resembled a Soul in its condition, and it was all held together by blue threads. It sickened Gaster on how this young kid could have so much damage to his Soul and still live. He knows that no one could survive the possible damage the kid's Soul had.
