"Chrono, can you tell us a story?" Papyrus asked as he looked up at his older brother from his spot at the table. "Can you tell us a love story? Do you know any?"

"Why do you want to hear a love story?" Chronos asked as he looked at his youngest brother before glancing at his other younger brothers. "Is there any particular reason?"

"Tk said that you had a boyfriend," Paper Crane said as he held a knife that looked to be a steak knife. All the while Tk looked away from the others. "We were wondering if you had some love stories you could tell us!"

Chronos looked at Tk, who avoided looking in his direction. "Is that so?" Chronos asked as he looked between his three brothers. "Alright, since you asked, I will deliver."

"Really!?" Tk asked as his head shot up towards his older brother. "You would be willing to tell us love stories of your past?"

Chronos nods. "I'll tell you one right now, but after that, we need to continue etiquette lessons," Chronos said looking at Tk. "That includes you Tk. Papy and Paper have been participating in the lessons. I want you to learn this as well. There will be a time when this will come in handy."

"And when will that be?" Tk asked in doubt. "I just don't see a point to all of this. It's not often that we go to the Royal Gatherings anyway."

"Tk, learning this could save your life one day," Chronos says as the thought of a certain memory. "I used these skills to infiltrate a masquerade ball. Etiquette also teaches patients as it's a sophisticated way of acting with those in the higher class. Anyone can just act the way they wish, but not everyone can stay with the high class."

"Fine, I'll learn royal etiquette," Tk says in defeat as he laid his head on the table in front of him. "Just tell us the love story already."

"Alright, but I'll be brief," Chronos said. "Don't interrupt me too much. Anyway, I'll tell you a story of how love triumphs."

"Triumphs over what?" Tk asked.

"Yeah! What is love?" Paper Crane asked. " Is it stronger than you? Can we touch it?"

Chronos chuckled at Paper Crane's silliness. "No, Paper. Love is a feeling and concept," Chronos explains. "I'm not one that can really explain it, but it's a feeling you can have towards others and yourself. One example is when you really like being around our brothers. If you feel happy or a warm feeling around us, and you don't want to be too far means you love being around us. I mean, I love all of you, including dad. I love you even if you hurt me, because I know there's a reason behind it."

"Chrono, I love you and would never hurt you!" Papyrus exclaims.

"I never said you guys would hurt me intentionally," Chronos said. "I know very well that you would never hurt me if you had a choice. However, I also know that there will come a time where hurting me can't be helped. I will be ready when that happens."

They all sat silently. Papyrus and Tk were very distressed at the thought of hurting their oldest brother. Paper Crane, on the other hand, was still trying to understand love but knew it wasn't a simple or even tangible concept to him just yet.

After being silent for a few minutes, Paper Crane wanted to get back on track. "Love story?" Paper Crane asked Chronos as he tilted his head a little.

Chronos chuckles. His brothers are just so cute and innocent. The thought of them meeting the cruel reality of the Multiverse made him shiver internally. He knew it was inevitable to keep them in their AU, but he didn't want their innocents broken so easily.
