Author's note: I was feeling inspired today so l decided to publish my story earlier was what l was going to say this morning but then got distracted. There is another opportunity for the story to merge at this point in the story and l know so much has happened even though it has only been one day! I do hope you enjoy the chapter and keep voting and commenting because l appreciate it all :) P.S: I actually didn't know there was a show called Orion the hunter until midnight. Just to clarify, l'm not copying it lol. Hah just joking there's no such thing! Hopefully...

Chapter 14 non-mature

Recap: "You cunning girl. You actually dared lure me here to save you. In retaliation and as thanks for my gracious service, you have to marry me. This is a command not a question. Our upcoming nuptials will be announced during this evening's assembly. They will take place in a week so have things prepared for then. There is also no need to keep the baby with you. Since l know you'll be busy, how about l send over a nanny or nurse for it?" I shook my head: "No need! I can look after my- our baby boy before the wedding. I want to be a good mother." The chief then patted my hair and walked back to his hut leaving the words: "See you later then!" Relief washed over me and l hugged my three sisters in joy. "WE DID IT!"

I cannot believe that we managed to get through this. Holding my sister's hands in mine l exclaimed: "The worst is now over. I am getting married to the chief and we will now live in one of the wives' huts. The baby is now 'his' and his only son, you must be careful to reveal the circumstances of this baby's appearance. Freya, Mira, l won't be with you all the time. The chief's huts are not the same as this ordinary village. There you will probably meet extremely arrogant, selfish girls who have been living in luxury all their lives. You must take special care that you do not offend any of them otherwise we will all die. Remember, just because the chief protected me once, doesn't mean he will always do that. We must always be prepared in case we are no longer useful to him anymore. We must also maintain this hut of ours. Mira, you must come back here every now and then to check its condition and repair it. We may come back here if something happens. " Mira nodded in agreement and l turned to Freya.

"Freya, you must take care of my, no ourbaby. You and Mira are the only one's l trust to take care of him and l entrust him to you at this stage in his life. Remember, never ever let him out of the hut without either you, me, Mira or the chief. Even with the chief, you must be cautious. Those wives and concubines may kill the baby out of jealousy. Do this for me okay?" Freya nodded and started tearing up: "Don't worry sister. I shall protect him with my life. He is my nephew and l really do care about him."

I placed both their hands on my heart. "Good. Good. Now on to the matter of his name, what do you think l should call him?" Mira replied: "First, hold him in the sunlight so we can see his features clearly." "Yes! Let's do that!" said Freya excitedly. So, l held the baby out in the light and was extremely awed by its angelic and pure aura. "How about Adonis?" Freya suggested, "representative of his angelic and godlike aura. He will definitely be great one day!"

Mira vehemently opposed: "Absolutely not! Do you know how may boys are called Adonis these days? Even when someone is ugly, they are still called Adonis in this village. Aiya, standards have fallen! Edena don't listen to Freya. Let'a try something simple like ermm...Ambrose. So he will be as sweet as nectar and as immortal as Adonis without having to be called Adonis."

Freya was in absolute denial of the name. "Absolutely not! Do you know how many people are called Ambrose? Even the boy that cleans the latrines is called Amborose! Do you want such a fate for our dear nephew?" I put my free hand on my head in astonishment: "You two girls! Instead of helping, you're just arguing. Don't worry! I'll decide for myself. How about...Adriel?"

"It has no meaning!" Mira retorted. "Yes, yes, meanings are important!" Freya added. "How about...Orion? You can't dismiss this one. It means massive hunter! I want my Orion to be a successful hunter in the future not only for our family but also the chief's?" Hands on chins, Mira and Freya were busy thinking about the new name and whether it was good or not but l interrupted their thoughts: "No need to think so much you know. I have decided on Orion! I think its quite a fitting name. We won't discuss this again because l know how you guys like fighting and not agreeing with each other on the smallest of things."

Mira pouted but acquiesced. Freya nodded and then became distracted easily as something caught her eye. "Let's go back to the hut sisters and prepare for what is to come tomorrow. It is dawning and we can use the excuse of preparing the wedding to miss the assembly tonight." And so...we went into the hut blissfully ignorant of what was going to go happen in the assembly.
