Ice Age: The Middle

CHAPTER EIGHT

After walking for some time, Manny stopped walking and turned around, causing Sid, Diego and Sarabi to do the same and see what Manny was staring at.

Ellie was holding a branch with leaves on it with her trunk, whilst her tail was also holding another small branch with leaves on it.

Manny couldn't help but to groan in annoyance watching as Elle moved from her placed from behind a boulder to a tree.

"We'll never make it at this pace." Manny said annoyed before calling out. "Ellie! It's okay! You can lose the camouflage now, your safe!" Manny shouted impatiently causing Sarabi to sigh.

"Okay!" Ellie called out before getting up and walking out from behind the tree.

As the three siblings were walking over, Sarabi noticed a shadow causing her to look up and slowly shook her head, only a Hawk.

"Hawk!" Crash yelled out before dropping to the ground 'dead' after running around in circles and bumping into his brother.

"What are you doing?" Manny ask after noticing Ellie on the ground.

"Playing dead." Ellie sort of whispers .

"Manny, why don't you do that?" Sid walked over to Manny quite cheerfully causing Sarabi to almost face palm. Almost.

"Because, I'm a Mammoth!" Manny shouted causing even Sarabi to jump a bit by his outburst.

"But, you do it for treats, right?" Sid asked timidly causing Sarabi to looking down at the ground and started to mumble how stupid can one be.

"Is he gone?" Ellie questioned causing Sarabi to look up and saw the Hawk flying away.

"Your safe, get up." Manny said lazily causing Sarabi to frown a bit.

"Phew! If you weren't here. That Hawk would have swooped down and snatched me up for dinner! That's how cousin Wilton went!" Ellie said getting up with the help from Crash and Eddie.

Sid makes a turning motion with his hand next to his head, before whistle a 'coo-coo' tune indicating she was crazy, looking up at Manny, but stopped once he noticed the glares he was getting.

Sarabi watched as Manny and Ellie were talking, before turning her attention away and got lost in thought.

She wonder what it would be like if the ice wasn't melting, what would she be doing instead of walking with her friends to a place that couldn't have a boat waiting for them. She wondered if she would still be secretly admiring Diego from afar, watching as he took control of certain things. She also wondered what it would be like to have him as her own. This caused her to blush at the thought of her and Diego finally together.

"You must be part Possum!" Ellie suddenly exclaimed causing Sarabi to be snapped out of her thoughts and looked over just in time to see Ellie to hit Manny playfully before walking away.

"You wish." Eddie (or was it Crash who said it) said walking past Manny and high-fiving each other proudly at the comment before they ran up to Ellie and jumped onto her.

I know, I know, I know. This chapter sucked, but to be honest this chapter for me was hard to write because I was honestly debating whether to actually use this chapter or not.

But I promise that the next chapter will be hopefully better
